The property is on the edge of downtown, which makes it walking distance to six street on the weekends. Parking is free. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. For about 2 to 3 days, they did have a plumbing issue with the smell of sulfur throughout the building which was of notches. Also, for the price you could stay at Holiday Inn express and have breakfast included at no additional cost but then you’re not downtown.

Confortable room, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet rather limited. The usual scrambles eggs, bacon and sausage. No salami, cooked ham or sliced cheese. Only yogurt was plain yogurt. Surrounding area filled with construction sites (not their fault).

The room smelled like soured milk and the floor between the bedroom and the bathroom was sopping wet. The smell was terrible, but the hotel was full and we could not change rooms. Totally unacceptable.

Average stay but nice lake access
The hotel is nicely placed near Lady Bird Lake with easy lake and trail access. There is only a right hand turn from the lot, so getting around town takes extra travel. There was plenty of on site parking available, however the parking garage is dirty and appears to be accessed by unhomed locals. The rooms were average but decent. They do have a couple of hidden water bottle refill stations that they were happy to tell us about only after we purchased water at the desk.
