a walk distance from the airport...........near fast food and small restaurants..........near grocery shopping...... unlimited coffee and tea at the lobby.... we stayed 10am (check out time) until 4pm before we walked towards the airport.......you can buy your food and heat it up in the microwave at the lobby....rooms small but clean and comfy

This is a budget hotel, so don't expect any frills. This hotel is so budget that they do not have a telephone in the room. You'll have to pay for wifi in your room and its not even unlimited (500 MB or 1 GB) option. They offer an onsite laundry, but I was told it was not in order. The shuttle to the airport is $5 and from the airport is $6.

A good, inexpensive hotel next to the Auckland Airport. Fine for a night either side of a flight. Effiicent check-in and check-out process. Ample, free parking. Airport shuttle available for a fee.

nice team at IBIS Budget, facilities med to good, cleanliness can be improved, family room for single traveller a VERY GOOD DEAL.

Clean and very comfortable, easy 10 min walk from airport. Close to McDonald's and car rentals. Will definitely stay again if I have an early or late flight! Lovely comfortable king size bed. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Room size small, but not an issue for an overnight stay. Surprisingly quiet for being near the airport.

Hotel was in remodeling phase. had to walk through construction zone to get into the hotel. No lobby due to construction. It is definitely a budget hotel as the name says.

This was the hotel we stayed in before our trip home after traveling abroad, and we were so happy to stay in this hotel it was in close promoxity to the airport and to dining locations. Great, clean, and economic stay.

The Ibis was just what I needed to sleep and get back to the airport. Check in was a breeze and staff was waiting at the desk even though I didn't arrive until midnight. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the room was dark and quiet even though it was close to the elevator. One piece of advice, the airport shuttle is the bus right outside of baggage claim, you buy a ticket with a credit card and it shuttles to several hotels. The names of all the hotels, including the Ibis, are on the front of the bus. The Ibis met all my expectations and I definitely recommend it.

Great location, few frills, clean, reasonably priced, reasonably helpful and approachable staff. This is a good overnight stop coming into or out of Auckland airport.

Close of airport. Just for sleep it is ok. Room was clean.

Excellent location. Just returned from a trip around the world. Stayed at several IBIS hotels. All clean and safe with excellent location.

We knew this motel was budget but clean. The irritating thing this time was the construction going on outside while we were trying to get some sleep after dropping someone off at the airport early.

Construction at the main entrance meant that our airbus express driver gave us some vague instructions about how to find the front door through the mess of torn up asphalt and chain-link fence. After through an open door and finding ourselves in the staff hallway with no way to get to the main lobby without a staff keycard, we exited and wandered around until we finally found the lobby's entrance. Though smartly dressed, the young man at the front desk lacked warmth and that Kiwi friendliness that we'd come to appreciate so much everywhere else in our travels. Being unfamiliar with the whole "place the keycard in the slot to operate the lights" concept and not having been clued-in by the concierge, we took a few moments to figure out how to get some light in our super tiny room. The beds moved really easily, and the shower door allowed water to puddle all over the bathroom floor since the door had a sizeable gap between the bottom and the lip of the shower. Luckily, the morning concierge was much nicer and advised us to save $5 on bus fare and hoof it to the airport. Good advice and a short walk.

The room wasn't big but we only needed over night so we could catch a 6:30 am flight out of Auckland NZ. During the night I heard someone taking a shower and then I heard water dripping in our shower. As water was dripping from the shower exhaust fan it was obvious that the water from who ever was taking a shower above was dripping into our shower. It also was forming big blisters on the wall as water was between the wall and the paint trying to burst through the paint. I mentioned it to the staff but by the damage this was not something new. If I was going to use this Hotel again I would ask for a room on the top floor.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport, and the airport bus($5.00) makes frequent stops, beginning at 3:30 a.m., for those with early flights. It is definitely a budget hotel, with no frills. We stayed here two nights, one night at the beginning and end of our trip. The first night room had a king size bed in a room really only big enough for a full size bed. No place for bags or space to move around. The second night, the room was larger and more comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff was nice WIFI was expensive. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel isn't great. There are a couple fast food places within walking distance. No frills at all, but if you need a place to stay for one night if arriving on a late flight or leaving on an early flight, this would work for you.

We stayed three nights at the ibes hotel in downtown Auckland and one night at the ibes near the Auckland airport. The airport was newer and seemed to have a little more room than the tiny room (17-04) at the downtown. We felt that we did not have enough room to handle our bags contents. There were no closets which was inconvenient. Worse of all were the bathrooms at both. The water from the shower runs all over the entire bathroom floor. One has to either, mop up the floor after showering, or stand on the wet floor to finish ones business at the tiny sink. There also is very little shelf space to set anything down anywhere. The cheap plastic stool for the desk was about the only thing that you could set something on at the airport hotel, and there was absolutely nothing to set anything on at the downtown ibes. I cannot understand how these are rated as 3-star. I would give the airport one-star, and the downtown one point on one star.

I did'nt expect much, as I had spent already 2 weeks in an Ibis Hotel on the rim of Paris three years ago and the room design, furniture, bathroom set-up is exactly the same - Paris/Auckland no difference. Considering this is one of the cheapest option for a quick one night stay over arriving in the middle of the night at Auckland Airport - it is certainly not value for money, considering you can barely fit a suitcase, and with a son measuring 6 foot 2 - not the most comfortable place. The hotel doesn't provide for shampoo either, so it is a very basic hotel that leaves no real memory other than - let's get to Rotorua as fast as possible!

The room rate is low but it is too basic. Two towels, not spotless, no extra pillow, reading light not working. Everything costs: Internet, shuttle, coffee. Shuttle arrived late. If you're ok with good location and cheap price, but not as cheap with add ons, stay here.

This was the most basic hotel we have ever stayed in. There was no phone in the room. No hair dryer. No chairs-only a stool at a small shelf meant to be a desk. There was a double bed and bunk beds in a very small space. If you only want abed for the night it is fine. You can walk to the airport in about 10 minutes. The bathroom fixtures were new and very clean. Don't expect any amenities.

I had a 10 hour layover and am not prepared to wait it out at the airport. So taking time to rest, shower and do some reading and catching with friends make sense to check into Ibis Budget. I wish they had shampoo in the shower room. Only hand soap was provided. One other thing, the shower door has a gap underneath that allows the water to flow out onto the floor and potentially onto the carpet. Suggest fixing a door plastic skirting to solve this problem.
