it seems to be recently renovated motel, it looks "classic", but the rooms are brand new, very clean etc; conveniently located near Auburn dountown (and on the top of the hill, so you even have a view, if it's a thing). No issues with check-in/out

Very friendly front staff. Hotel room was clean, bed was so comfy, love the retro look. Bowling alley was very fun, conveniently located, great for either single people or groups with kids. Definitely will come back.

The Foothill Motel in Auburn is an absolute gem. The rooms are spotless and thoughtfully updated with modern comforts, but they still keep the vintage character alive through clever design touches and décor. The staff are wonderfully attentive and clearly take pride in every detail, both inside and out. The motel’s pet-friendly policy makes it a great stop for travelers with furry companions, and the cleanliness throughout is outstanding. Outside, the patio and pool area sit perched on a gentle hill, offering a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of driving. The location is ideal — walkable to several local restaurants and cafes. We love this place and come here at times for a night away. The way this hotel was redone, updated but still has those 70’s and 60’s vibes, I feel like I’ve stepped back in time every time we visit.
