The Neighborhood:
Located in Gazi, the cultural heart of Athens. This is the heart of Athens nightlife, exhibitions, cultural events and festivals. Gazi is located in the Athens historical district, just 13 minutes by foot from the gates of the Acropolis. The Penthouse is located just 150 meters from the Kerameikos metro station. It is a blue line station, the best connected line in Athens, and has a direct line to the Airport and Piraeus port.
Gazi is loaded with cafes, bars, nightlife and concerts. During the day the unit is very quiet and ideal for remote work. A digital nomad's paradise, equipped with high-speed wifi, premium amenities, and smart home features. Nightlife erupts in Gazi. It's no wonder Gazi is known as the Mykonos of Athens. Guests can dance all night (and morning) with plenty of venues to choose from for all tastes.
Getting around from the Penthouse is effortless. Located just 200m from the Kerameikos metro stations, guests can easily access the best connected metro line in Athens (the Blue line). For guests that prefer to rent a car, the apartment has a private parking garage dedicated to guests. Furthermore, calling a cab is very easy in Athens.
The neighborhood is Athen's nightclub hub and it can get loud, even into the early hours of the morning. All properties in this area, and many more throughout Athens, struggle with neighborhood noise levels. Athens is a loud city and there is hardly any enforcement of noise bylaws by the city or police. Paradoxically, this energy is one of the many reasons to stay in the area.
We have done everything possible to reduce noise levels in the apartment (In 2024 we installed top of the line sound resistant triple glazed windows, we provide disposable earplugs, the apartment has doors separating all bedrooms/bathrooms which helps insulate sound). With the significant cost associated with these windows, there are hardly any (probably none) other listings in the area that offer such sound resistant windows in the bedrooms. Relatively speaking, you will be staying at one of the quietest properties in the area.
Guests should know that club noise has been an issue for some past guests. It's the only reason for any of our imperfect reviews. The area has lots of great experiences to offer and the location is incredible, but it comes with a compromise of noisy nights around the weekends.
Please take this into consideration prior to your booking. Refunds due to noise issues will not be offered since the potential noise issues are being proactively, honestly and transparently disclosed in this listing description.
