A very cozy nice and made to measure economic proposition in Athens for family winter weekend. Enough room for two adults and three children. Nice view from hotel restaurant in 8th floor. Downtown positioning close to every facility. You can live your myth in Athens without bankrupting. High value 4 money
Marni Avenue is not a lovely place to stay and I understood it is famous for being the drug addicts favorite place. Price is fairly chip but you can find much better in Athens. Rooms are old style, smell of smoke (at least in my room), the shower and the window was broken so I had a flooded cold room in december...
When we arrived, the person in the lobby was very nice, and the rooms were a good size for 3 persons. The first night we didn't have any trouble whatsoever, besides the neighborhood. it was a bit sketchy. The next day when we woke up, some people were complaining about itches and bites and so we thought it was just a mosquito bite. It turned out to be BEDBUGS. They were everywhere. Everyone was bitten, and we were 18 people traveling together. We stayed there for 6 days, and the staff was very friendly, but their English was very poor. Oh yeah, and the hotel smelled like literal garbage everywhere.
Even though the location of the hotel is decent - close to the train station but this hotel could be avoided for multiple reasons. Not 100% hygienic and the wifi connection is also weak when it works. The staff is not all helpful and warm. Not staying at this place next time.
Revamped reception and cafe .Rooms clean and simple good aircon. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied. The location is marginal but no worse than old Kings Cross ,frankly all Athens is getting seedy.very hard working staff who are not fawning. The issue is noise ,I live in the country so a bit of bustle is a change.
The walls are paper thin, and so are the doors to balcony. There were people running in the halls and yelling all night, couldn’t sleep, and can also hear every car that drives by. The free wifi didn’t work at all while we were there. The breakfast was edible, but not at all enjoyable. Service was ok at check in, but nothing was done about the noise or internet. Do not waste your money.
Best service we have had. Georgia at the desk was amazing. She helped book our daily tours and even had a sack breakfast for one very early morning adventure. Bus would pick up at front door. Above and beyond from staff. Bar service by Xristos was fantastic. Thanks for our evening entertainment. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Can walk to sites within city. Their sister hotel a few block away has an amazing dinner and roof top view. Go at sunset.
Καθαρό πολυ καλή εξηπητετηση not a grate location. But very nice and clean :)) I enjoy stay there . The service grate tha man on the reseption god bless him we have a brutal night and he help us a lot.
free wi-fi is big lie, all time we stayed (4 nights) and wi-fi was not working at all. Impolite administrator said that he can do nothing like it was not his problem. More people was complain about too. Shower was uncomfortable and very small, and double bed was made from two single beds
