Great hotel location and very friendly staff. Room was cramped for 2 beds, but ok since we spent most of the time away from hotel. Cramped bathroom was a minor inconvenience. Hotel staff was always pleasant.

Great location wonderful place to stay. I would stay there again.

People working there were really nice and very courteous. Among what impressed was cleanness of room.

Great hotel within 4 minutes walking distance from metro. It was a perfect location. We stayed 3 times during one week trip. All rooms were excellent. Ask for the Acropolis view if possible, it is unforgettable. If no view, roof terrace is very nice too!! The breakfast was delicious. Downstairs restaurant was great but service is very slow. Excellent hotel overall!!

My wife & I just returned from 8 wonderful nights at the Herodion Athens. The location cannot be beat. Leave the hotel & turn right you will come to the Acropolis. Leave the hotel & turn left you will come to the Acropolis. I suggest walking in both directions to enjoy the different sites. It is in walking distance of all the main attractions in Athens. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop is amazing. Even in November we found it warm enough to sit up there with a glass of wine enjoying the view. The staff is friendly & helpful. The housekeeping staff did a great job & even stopped by in the evening if we were in to see if we needed anything. Our room was comfortable & modern. The breakfast had a plentiful assortment of items to choose from. All were fresh, properly prepared & delicious. The breakfast staff worked hard to insure that the many & varied items were kept full. It was great starting out the day with such a hearty breakfast before a day of seeing the sites. It made eating a late lunch easier, which in turn allowed us to eat a late dinner in one of the countless restaurants in the area. The hotel also has a bar & restaurant on the premises. We ate there the 1st night & enjoyed our meal, but chose to dine at the countless local choices other nights. If you want to make your traveling easier, pack light & use their laundry service. We found it reasonably priced & quick, same day if given to the staff by 11AM. The neighborhood is also safe night & day.

Not only a great location- a very helpful and friendly staff. The Restaurant and Bar is very good- food is excellent and reasonable too! Incredible views from the top floor garden/bar area...a well managed property in the heart of Athens!

The view from the rooftop restaurant was incredible! Our luggage was delayed and the staff was very helpful speaking with the airline and making calls for us. We were free to do our site seeing and enjoy the visit. Special treat to start dinner was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect location, walking distance to Acropolis. Nice, modern and clean. Only negative is the noise and the ac unit. AC was like a fan on high at most, very warm and noisy. At night there was so much noise, think it was the plumbing unit others mentioned.

Great location, walking distance to museum, acropolis and plaka. Breakfast plenty of good food. Triple room a tad small bathroom very small. We are well aware all European rooms are small this was more so. Would stay again but would request a larger room. Great staff

Check in was fast. I have to upgrade our room for a good view of the Acropolis. Room 412 is perfect, no noise from the school because we stayed there during the Holy week (no school). Bed is comfortable, WiFi was great and fast, bathroom a little cramp but clean and modern. So sweet that they provided us a fruit basket and a bottled water as a token (our anniversary). Breakfast was excellent lots of variety. Tea service in the room is my favorite as well. Sad that the terrace service is close, I understand its still very cold on April nights. Very close to the Acropolis and the Museum. Lots of places to eat and transportation is very close. We were not disappointed.

The best part is the hotel location. We walked everywhere and did not take any metro or bus during the whole trip. The view from the rooftop is magnificent. Rooms were kept clean and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is impressive, although almost no variety from day to day, highly recommend!

This was truly a perfect pick. The hotel is very close to all the major sites that you need to see and it is located in a nice quiet area of the city. The view of the Acropolis from the terrace is magnificent! The breakfast buffet is wonderful, but I wish there was more variety from day to day. Overall, clean, convenient, great deal. The location is important, because you will be walking a lot sightseeing and the last thing you want is hiking miles back to the hotel. I would definitely come back. I would avoid the rooms facing the inner yard though, if possible.

The location was very good, close to all of the historical sites. Staff was helpful. Good breakfast buffet

The staff are extremely helpful and nice. The food is great, especially for a hotel. The rooftop restaurant is great also! The hotel itself is very cute--just like the photos online. The location is great! It's only a few steps from the Acropolis, metro, and Plaka area.

Walk to acropolis, acropolis museum. Perfect location. Skip room 201 very small no view and next to maids storage area. Wifi in lobby only. 5€ for stay when asked for. Helpful staff good breakfast. Lycavetus was fabulous. Hotel made reservations. Walk to Plaka gardens etc.

For triple room it was rather small. they essentially took a small double and put a bed in the room. They disengaged the heating and AC system so we had no controls what so ever. Not a four star hotel in my opinion

in my room it costed me 5euro. this is the only drawback.

Can't beat the location. The rooftop garden has a view of the Acropolis and a Jacuzzi. Nice breakfast. Rooms with a double bed are hard to get --- 2 singles seem to be the norm. 5 Euro/day charge for WiFi, which is inexcusable.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. The roof top terrace is spectacular and a great way to wind down after busy day of sightseeing. Walking distance to almost anywhere. Highly recommend

The Herodion Hotel is a nice hotel that is in a great location. It is only minutes from many of the tourist sights in central Athens! The hotel staff are great, very friendly and helpful. The room (I stayed in room 202) is small and is need of upgrade. They were doing some upgrades to half the rooms on the second floor during my stay. So they are working on that issue. I am sure in a year most of the rooms will have been renovated. There is some noise that you will hear from the street if you stay on the front side of the hotel, as well as there is an elementary school at the rear of the school. So if you like to sleep in on a week days you might get woken up by the kids at recess. They are rather loud but recess only lasted for about 20-30 minutes in the morning. The beds were moderately comfortable, and the flat screen TV was nice, although they only have about 12-15 channels to choose from (Greek, French, German, USA-CNBC, and UK-BBC World News). The breakfast was good and plentiful. One suggestion, make it down for breakfast before 9:00am. There are many tour groups that stay at this hotel and after 9am you will find that some of the food items have run out. The food from the dinning room is also very good. They have a daily Greek special all throughout the week featuring some of the best foods Greece has to offer. The dinning and bar area in the atrium is very nice and relaxing. The lounge is also very well decorated and comfortable for casual drinks, chats or just reading a book...maybe by the fire place during the winter months. Over all this is a very good hotel. If you are looking for a nice place to stay just steps from the Acropolis Museum and minutes to other sights...then this is the place for you!
