Absolutely loved my room and - although I didn't plan on it, it turned into a romantic getaway. LOVED the staff and the view of the Mediterranean. Even though I didn't consider my kids coming, I saw other kids there and would consider if I return.

The only thing grand about this place is the prices. Considering the complex is very dated and run down the prices are extortionate, you pay about 10 euros for a bottle of beer in this place and snacks in the mini bar are about the same in price. It has a very fawlty towers esc theme about it with the staff not communicating properly between themselves so mistakes are often made if you dare to make a request with the hotel. If you fancy a spot of mini golf make sure you wear trousers as the place is over grown and abandoned, the tennis court isn’t in a workable condition either, we nicknamed this part of the complex the Wild West or rattlesnake country. I ended up checking out of this place and staying in a beach villa 1km down the road which was half the price and generally better all around. Wouldn’t stay here if someone offered to pay, 1 out of 5

The venue is excellent however you are asked to pay extra for heating the swimming pool. I was surprised that this extremely beautiful and strategically located resort, one hour from the center of Athens and one hour from Athens Intl Airport would ask handsomely paying customers additional charge for heating their private swimming pool. Our friends a family of 8 staying in 3 bungalows with their own swimming pool invited us over and asked me if it is in the Greek mentality to charge hotel guests like that. So it seems that you should cover this issue in advance before booking.

We only had a short break in the place but cannot think of better place to go on holidays. Although, it might result expensive to most of people with average holiday budget. It's like a dream place. Bet place in Greece so far...

We stayed in this hotel for a few nights and can honestly say this pearl of a resort nested amidst luscious vegetation and bathed by the warmth of the surrounding Mediterranean Sea is absolutely a treasure . The bungalow room overlooking the sea and the unique Hellenic sunsets are decorated in a minimalist up to date fashion and some present even an integrated gym , between the room per se and the bathroom. Thé drive through the property at any tîme of Day is a true pleasure for the senses . The Greek Taverna overlooking the sea offers its patrons a blessed view of a typical Greek sunset at its best while sipping a glass of Ouzo and tasting a grilled whole fish ... All in all , I highly recommend this hotel for a break from Athens and yet close enough should a Patron wish to adventure into town for some business or cultural event .

We returned to this resort where we appreciate the quality services, the very sociable staff, the delicious food, the beautiful room where we admired the sea, the sunset and the smell of the flowers in the resort. Thank you for the beautiful week we spent and hope to come back to Grand Resort Lagonissi and in the beautiful country you have!

I stayed in the GRL for 3 nights in a business trip. Huge resort with fine details and very helpful staff. We could enjoy great breakfast in a spectacular terrace area, and our event orgnizers created one of the best dinner I ever had. There is also a very nice pool csak 60m long available for the guests of groundfloor rooms. Easy access from the airport, and fascinating view of the sea 30 kms long on the way to Athens ' centre.

A attended a business convention at the Grand Resort Lagonissi, some 40 kilometers outside of Athens. The place is HUGE!! A convention center, many hotel units of various sizes and levels of comfort, restaurants and bars, private beaches, inside roads and large gardens provide for a closed universe to enjoy a get-away vacation in sunny Greece. Nothing is memorable per se, although the place provides all facilities for a peaceful stay. It is easy to drive to Athens at any time of the day, so the place seems ideal for business conventions like the one I attended, where one can be focused on the matters at hand, while still enjoy the benefits of the beautiful surroundings.

Fantastic beaches, tennis, gym, diving, nature, people, location, service - all is five star....Remember that high quality does not come cheap. A perfect trip from Athen Airport and a weekend in the sun

Great location very relaxing as the other reviews have mentioned it does need a bit of sprucing up don't eat here go out to the local restaurants food is well over priced 32 euros for a club sandwich and I have a lot better in a weatherspoon

40th km Athinon-Sounio Saronikos Attiki
