Construction in progress next to our room. Workers started to drill and hammer walls at 7:30am. They ruined our peace and our vacation.

We stayed in a glamorous and affordable suite for our 20th-anniversary trip. This was our first trip after Covid-19 and I felt so comfortable. The staff was friendly. The facilities felt safe and clean. The morning breakfast for only 10 euros was so healthy in a beautiful sunlight room. Delicious dining options and a wonderful setting for late-night drinks by the pool.

The location for a tourist wanting to visit the major sites was poor. It is a 6 Euro taxi fare to most sites like the Acropolis etc. When you're at the hotel you are sort of captive since there's nothing in the immediate neighborhood.

This is the worst Grand Hyatt, or any Hyatt I have ever stayed in. 1) The bathroom flooded. We called immediately and after 4 hours maintenance still hadn't been up. 2) There was no hot water so we couldn't bathe our baby boy. 3) It was pouring rain and they had no umbrellas. 4) The location sucks - it is a fair distance from the middle and no nice bars/restaurants nearby. The front desk guy was clearly exasperated with the hot water himself and just shrugged his shoulder at me. They did let us check in early and the roof bar staff were great but the hotel basically opened too early, probably because Hyatt just want a quick return on their investment.

Esteemed Guest Alexandra, Thank you very much for the valuable feedback regarding your recent stay. I humbly regret not having met your service expectations and wish you would have contacted our guest services experts whilst in house, so as to smoother your stay by improving your experience. Our trainings are concentrated on curated experiences and I apologize for not conveying this feeling. The Grand Hyatt Athens currently features 321 units with an expansion development pipeline in the adjacent building to become 550 units + in total. Although the pandemic seemed a fertile period to accelerate construction works, delays in specific products caused to International freight congestion forced us to prolong the master plan. We surely comprehend the challenge this creates in the operation in conjunction with the noise disturbance for which we deeply apologize and honor your patience. Every day we care for our guests. Care is at the heart of our business, and it’s this distinct guest experience that makes Hyatt one of the world’s best hospitality brands. Deep apologies for not entailing this during your stay and we look forward to an opportunity to greet and treat you in the future in an effort to convey a feeling of care. Warmest Regards, Panos Almyrantis General Manager
