I've stayed at this hotel everytime I've traveled to Greece. It feels like home. From the friendly staff that welcome you upon arrival to the cleaning staff that always say good morning and take time to ask how your day was. You can't ask for anything more. The rooms are very clean. Beautiful roof garden with a pool. Witch you can enjoy a nice meal a drink or a great coffee. We always chose this hotel year after year because makes it feel like home. Thanks to this great staff for making our stay once again pleasant.
Hotel is in a good location, close to Glyfada and not far from downtown Athens. Sufficient activities close to the location. Prices are fair; rooms on the 4th floor are the nicest; hotel and rooms were clean. Roof Garden (rooftop pool/bar) was the best feature with live music once a week and quality food/drink choices. Bartenders and senior staff were friendly and outgoing...they are the best.
Perfectly adequate hotel. Rooms were clean and a reasonable size, all with balconies. Has a rooftop pool and bar area, but the pool is small and basic. Breakfast was the same every day, bacon, sausage, cheese, salad etc. Eggs always available but over-cooked. Tinned fruit rather than fresh was disappointing. Had one meal at the rooftop bar which was OK - nothing outstanding, although the moussaka was poor and microwaved. Location is great, 5 minutes to beach and tram to Athens, Restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk along with shops. Staff helpful.
Only stayed for one night with a large number of family and friends. Reception looks like it's from the 70's, and the receptionist, didn't smile once during your check-in - and out. N Rooms were terrible too, carpets and smell of old cigarettes. I tried to change rooms, but didn't succeed. Also, the traffic outside is constant and very loud. There are two lifts at the hotel, both extremely small, room for two people, so if your a claustrophobic, use the stairs. The breakfast was also a disaster. However, the rooftop, with beautiful views and good food, made our stay here ok. Very nice people working at the rooftop. Still, the rest of the hotel, not nice at all.
I've been traveling to Athens for my sailing event in June 2017 together with my other 6 guests. I have chosen Emmantina Hotel once more and I can only say that it did reach my expectations as always. Accessible location, public transport across the street, airport transfers, free WiFi and the list can continue. Don't get me wrong, as it is not a 5 stars hotel (however even there you get charged for the broadband) but it does the job without creating any drama around your holiday. I will definitely keep using it, as it never changed management or let me down in any way.
We stayed here for 6 nights. It was a great way to start our holiday through GREECE . This hotel is a perfect location , walking distance to beach, restaurants, transport to city( buses and trams). You can catch a bus from the airport to the hotel, X96. On your return to the airport the bus stop is basically outside the door of the hotel on the opposite side of the road. The rooms were a good size and very clean. Breakfast was great with many choices from continental breakfast to full American breakfast ( buffet breakfast) The staff were excellent. They couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly from the reception staff to waiters , waitresses and room attendants. One of the staff members in the restaurant went above and beyond . Her name is EfiI. Efi , who would always greet us every morning with a warm smile and a welcoming manner. She was wonderful as she would suggest places for us to go to and direct us on how to get there . The staff and especially Efi made our stay in GLYFADA very enjoyable. I definiately recommend staying there . I will definately go back there.
The hotel is decent and is nicely located. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly, hotel is nice looking, and the wifi is great. The rooms at the newly renovated 4th floor was fantastic at my first stay. The second time I stayed, however, my room and my bed smelled like cigarette smoke and my eyes felt burning. I was too exhausted to switch rooms -- although I don't doubt the staff would have gladly switched my rooms had I requested. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying again at this hotel.
Our group of students and teachers stayed here for two nights while visiting Athens. The location is nice and the rooftop restaurant is lovely. However, two of our rooms had ants in them (one suitcase had about 50 ants in it). The response from the staff was twofold: spray the apparent entry point and to question the students as to why they left food out to lure the ants in; and they offered to move students to another hotel as there were no other rooms available. Obviously both "solutions" were just shy of adequate. So if you don't mind insects in your bed or luggage, stay here for the view and location.
We were staying there on 1 night, the hotel is really cool.It offers wide range of facilities ,including beautiful sea view . The staff of the hotel is very well qualified . Moreover the roof garden is amazing . breakfast is very nice and frappe in roof cafe also.
I was there for a business trip on the weekend. The Friendly staff, and the Clean quiet rooms, were the two things that i liked. I didn't like the lack of parking space. The rooms on the east side are quieter.
