Staying at the Candlewood Suites was one of our better Hotel experiences in Athens.
Great and easy
Was pretty good although one of our rooms smelled like fried food
The coffee was great in the morning. The room needed a bit of updating.
The kitchen was nice and I love being able to stay with my dog in a nice hotel.
I liked everything the workers were friends and professional. The rooms was very nice and can.
Great staff up front, clean rooms, love the lay our
All staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient and safe.
I was in town alone to help out my dad and see about his needs. The hotel was great for what it was - but could have used a little more creature comforts. I am not complaining, just saying what I feel. The one thing that still bothers me a bit - even tho my reservation was for a full week, my room key became disabled. To get it enabled, all I had to do was walk up the desk clerk (who had manager on her tag) and let her know what room I was staying in she enabled my card again. While it was nice that was no hassle, the lack of security around it made me a little uneasy. I would have thought that I would have needed to provide at least my id so that she could verify that I was the person that was checked into that room.
This was a very comfortable stay. Just needed a place to sleep for several days and it worked great. Room was large enough and comfortable. Didn't use the kitchenette area but it would have been ample for a small family to use, especially if you were on a budget and wanted to eat in. Full refrigerator which was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided an ample amount of towels and we did not need to exchange . I'm sure if needed would have been a breeze. Need larger trash bags/containers. Bed was very comfortable and good amount of pillows. Would stay here again. Highly recommended. Very good stay
I checked in at 3pm needing two double beds. I stated this at check in. The manager did not even greet me at the front desk. The entire time she was trying to book me seemed frustrated. Upon opening the door to the hotel room, I noticed there was only one bed. I politely went back to the front desk and told her that I requested two beds. She said "That's the only room we have available". She asked if a roll away bed would work. I said yes. The roll away bed came to the room with NO sheets. They finally brought up one sheet and a thin blanket that was rolled up in a ball. I had to go back to the front desk and ask for a heavier blanket and another sheet. Of course they didn't have any. This lack of customer service and lack of supplies didn't settle very well with me or my other firends. I will not be back. The only thing nice about this hotel is the fact that it is a straight shot into downtown Athens and about a 12 minute drive.
Great Stay!!! Wonderful accomidations.
I was in town for a weekend open house at UGA for their law school. There was a little league softball tournament in town, as well as open house's for other graduate schools so most of the hotel's were fully booked. We found this hotel to be very spacious and convenient for the price. Was about 4-5 minutes from the university/downtown, but everything else was top notch.
When we arrived, the bathrooms had not been cleaned and it looked like the sheets hadn't been changed. Both were fixed quickly although this is the first time I've had to change the sheets of my own bed in a hotel. The second day of our stay, the tv didn't work so they moved us into a second room and it was much nicer than the first. It wasn't a bad stay but for the money we were paying we expected a little more.
Beautiful suite. All ammenities I would need for a week but only stayed a night. Now i want to go back again
The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly, with uplifting personalities. The rooms were very clean and orginanized. The bathrooms were spotless. My husband and I will defentily stay here every time we visit athens.
The hotel was very nice. The kitchenette in the room was very nice and convenient. The towels were very soft and the room was spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well. There was not a continental breakfast in the morning which was the only bad thing.
A step above the Super 8s and Days Inns where I usually stay. Room wasn't large, but was very well thought out and functional. For what I paid,, they should have had a shuttle to the game.
It was loud and expensive. Not a good experience at all
