An extremely friendly receptionists and bell boy George as we first arrived at the hotel. Absolutely perfect way to give first impressions of the hotel. And it only got sweeter. First of all I want to acknowledge all the staff members here you are all such a credit to the hotel and an asset too. We didn't get to know you all by name bit we cannot fault anyone here. But with exceptional qualities and skills and personalities to thrive in this work has clearly been shown by the two legends in the bar Kostias and Takis. Wow you two blew our hearts away we cannot thank you enough for showing us the real Greek people how you guys are with customers is phenomenal you should be so proud of yourselves and so should your boss I really do believe you two are the pillars to hold the hotel up. It was hard for us Irish to understand everything that is going on in the hotel and surrounding areas due to language barrier etc but you made sure we knew it all. The hotel itself is pretty I don't see the outdated like some have mentioned here the room is spotless air con bath large power shower balcony mini fridge safe tv etc everything a good hotel should have. Food is gorgeous we are here every day. Even the waiter now just brings me the mayo without me asking haha. Great choice at breakfast and the all you can eat. Top marks to the chef! The pool area is fantastic it catches all the sun throughout the day and different parts so of you wanted heat you have it if you want shade you have it. The area is clean and fresh towels when needed is provided. The beach is a short two min walk away and the tram to bring you to many other beaches is the same. Voula beach approx 15mins on tram. The fenix is in a perfect location to get to wherever you need. Athens is also on the tram line across from the hotel. To the manager, keep up the hard work. I have been to many countries and continents and I have never felt the need to leave a review until now. You got amazing staff, maybe without them I wouldn't of known or took notice of all I have wrote about without there help. We wish you Kostias, Takis and George and all the rest a very long and happy career and we can't wait to come back soon to say hello. Mo Chara Mo Chroi

I checked in my first day in Athens before leaving on a week long drive through Northern Greece and booked a room for July 24th and was assigned room 308 a "premium room". It was mediocre at best but for one night did not mind it. Upon my return I had also booked a night August 1 for one night also a premium room and was given room 421. I had booked both nights before leaving on the trip. Room 421 was substandard to say the least. Dirty and frayed curtains, bad causing around sink, old shower head was probably from the original construction, low water pressure. When I checked out and printed these out to the desk clerk he shrugged his shoulders and ignored me. I'm surprised this hotel still has it's Best Western affiliation. If it does I bet that room 421 was not inspected.

At the beginning I hated the hotel and I was planning to look for another place closer to the center to crash in but than I got used to it and on the third day I even started to like it :)) The hotel is outdated and needs heavy restorations. The pool area is small and not very well equipped but who needs a pool when the Mediterranean sea is just a few walking steps from the hotel. Rooms: Relatively small and outdated. Not very clean. No complimentary water bottles available. Bathroom needs heavy restorations. Location: It is like 20 minutes walk to the center and there is nothing to do around the area of the hotel. However, there is a tram station just across the street and the one of the main Glyfada ports is also a few minutes walking. Breakfast: Better than what I expected but still a very limited selection and un-tasty food Service: The staff is friendly but far from being professional… you just get the feeling that it is a small family-run-business Value for money: the hotel is relatively a quite good value for money Internet: Free, fast internet in the rooms and reception Avoid having a room next to the elevator because it is too noisy. Would I stay there again? Big NO Would I recommend it to others? Definitely NO

Stayed for 3 nights on business. Very basic hotel located half an hour from the airport and half an hour from the centre of Athens. Didn't have time to go to the beach there but supposedly it's a walking distance from the hotel and is quite nice. Breakfast hall is large and the breakfast itself is not bad. There is also a bar serving drinks and snacks all day. The room is also very basic but major faults for me were the bad mattress which was way too stiff and poor wifi connection. Better to use wifi in the hotel lobby. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Although they weren't able to change a 500 EURO bill on a couple of occasions.

I checked-in alone late one evening for a 3 night stay and was pleasantly surprised by staff bringing up a fruit plate and wine with the pot of tea that I ordered. The rooms are standard size and clean; linen and surfaces were clean and well put away and there is a safe and wifi. The included breakfast was ok - self serve and basic. The beach is just a block away and there is a tram stop nearby. It's a safe area to walk around and transportation via uber or taxi is easily available. I had a restful stay.

As a global traveler it was a good job the earplugs were packed when staying here. The double glazing did not keep the highway noise at bay and coupled with the loud air conditioning sleep was at a premium! Breakfast was fine, bar service was friendly, wifi worked well and the reception team were helpful and efficient. Premium room was ok and bed was comfortable if only I could have stopped the constant road noise. Will not be staying here on next visit to Athens.

This is your standard Best Western Hotel and the rooms are okay, albeit quite small, clean, ditto bathrooms, friendly service, nice pool and a good location if you want the beach but also be close to Athens. However, there some really annoying problems: 1. Sliding door to the balcony would not close properly, so traffic noise from the busy road in the front was very loud 2. The aircon was very load so it was a dilemma of heat or noise 3. The bed was really hard - okay if you like that 4.The breakfast was very poor - food not labelled so not easy to identify (marmalade? potato croquettes? etc); the machine that was labelled "fresh juice" produced only sickly sweet orange squash - really horrible; the "Small Coffee" button actually produced a big coffee; milk for tea and coffee was nowhere to be seen and had to be got from the cereal area; the fresh fruit was watermelon only, with some very tired looking tinned fruit cocktail that had to be avoided, etc - all fairly minor issues but when added up become annoying Finally, I was the victim of a taxi scam by the taxi that was booked by the hotel, that should be careful about who they use. I asked for a taxi from the hotel to Elliniko metro station, which is meant to be nearby, and the driver helpfully said that it would cost €10 but that the fare into the centre of Athens, where I was headed, was only €15, so I went for the latter option. I found out on the way back that the fare to Elliniko should have been under €4, as it as on the return journey! And when we arrived in Athens the meter showed €13.50 and the driver said "exactly €15, as I said"! Only in Athens can €13.50 = €15.00. To be fair, I have been ripped off by taxi drivers in almost every city that I have ever visited, and even London is no exception

If u are travelling for business this hotel is Ok. I would not ever take my family to this hotel. It is in the middle of no ware. just locate into the mail road to airport. In the reception u will find grumpy old man..... But still ok stay. PS the bathroom are very close to another room so u can hear other people going to toilet.....

Nothing special. Room ok, not soundproof. My room was on the first floor, there was a wedding downstairs. When I complained i immediately got another room so thats good. Breakfast was average to 'low'. I just don't understand why a hotel like this doesn't have local good food products instead of industrial food from the larger foodservive comapnies ( at least that is what I think is the case). You could make such a great difference in perteception. A good breakfast...awesome!

I just wanted to give a big thank you to the staff at fenix hotel they where very welcoming and attaintive to us always there to answer our questions. Breakfast was really good, our room was always very clean. If anyone will be staying at Glyfada athens i will highly reccomend this hotel
