Came in from Piraeus ferry and left next morning for the airport. Great staff and very helpful

This is a great hotel. We stayed there twice during our trip. First for 2 nights before leaving for Mykonos then 1 night after. They stored some of our luggage for a small fee so we didn't have to take it to Mykonos. On our second night they upgraded our room which didn't seem much different from our other room but room service brought us a giant fruit platter and a nice bottle of wine. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to the metro. Hotel staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area. Anywhere in Athens you want to go, they'll give you step by step directions. The free breakfast is great and the restaurant is also great. I'd definitely stay here next time. Just note a cab/taxi during night or early morning is about 60€. During the day the metro will you to the hotel.

Very nice place to stay was easy to get to the main part of the city but not down town that make it easier to get places and back to the airport.

Nice helpful staff Had to use a cab to find it. Unfortunately due to airline strikes we were only able to stay one night would definitely stayed longer if possible

I loved Hotel Alexandros, because it was in a very good location. The only problem was that the air conditioning was loud. Other than that, perfect!

Nice location ,very good breakfast ,very helpful stuff

I loved this hotel. The staff was so friendly; the included breakfast was wonderful, and the free wi fi was available in my room. The toiletries were nice and ample and if I had any concerns at all, they were quickly met. The hotel staff sent a driver and cab for me at the airport, and as I have bad knees, I used him for many ventures and did not try the public transport, though I did see that the hotel was close to the metro station. Most importantly, I felt safe here. Most all the staff spoke English and the hotel is in a nice area close to the American Embassy. They have free wi fi in room safes, and my room had a lovely balcony that would be wonderful if I had not been there in December Yes, the TV's were old, but I did not care as I did not have any desire to watch Greek TV, so I never turned it on.. If I ever return to Athens, I will be happy to stay at the Airotel Alexandros.

Every one who worked at the hotel spoke english. Hotel very clean. Nice size room. Stayed there twice, one room had a balcony and the other didn't. Felt very safe in the area outside.

This hotel is located conveniently for use of the Metro, though it's a long 2 block walk. The surrounding area has nothing to offer so we always took the Metro, which is easy. The room and services were good for the price paid. The complimentary breakfasts were first-rate. The staff spoke English and were helpful with local tours and transportation. Good value.

For the price this hotel was an excellent value. Located a bit off the city center but very walkable (about a 15-20 min) to city center. Taxis to the acropolis was about 7 euros and the metro was convenient only a few stops to Plaka & the acropolis. I liked staying away from the center as that meant restaurants, bars and bakeries weren't inflated tourists prices. There's a bakery called Mr. Baker about a block or so away where you can get the yummiest pastries for breakfast and mini ice creams for lunch all for less than 3 euro. Jima Ginger is a fantastic modern restaurant with very reasonable prices as well. We ate there almost every day. Given the price, the room wasn't super luxurious but just fine and the bathroom was updated but not brand, brand new. Overall, excellent value. Tip: Wake up for the continental breakfast, it is phenomenal. Juices, warm chocolate croissants...fruit, meat cheese spread, eggs, sausage. Really worth the early rising.

We arrived at 5am on the ferry and were exhausted. Even though we flooded the lobby with luggage for 5 persons at 6am, the staff accommodated all of our needs and stowed away our luggage. We arrived back to check in around noon and the rooms were ready and fit our needs perfectly. Spacious and clean.

This should be a 5 star hotel. It was excellent!! Very clean, up-to-date but charming, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Superb food. Can't say enough about this hotel.

We have stayed at many hotels in Athens during our 30+ years of yearly travel to the city. From reading the description and other reviews, we expected this hotel to be above the average; however, it fell into the category of the typical, small room, small bath accommodation we know we could have booked for far less money closer to the Syntagma area. We were given a dismal room with a window looking down a shaft and a view of the back balconies of neighboring apartment buildings. On both nights of our stay we easily overheard the sounds of a bickering couple from one of the buildings, and our window was closed! The Alexandros has probably developed a following because of its proximity to the American embassy and various hospitals. It was disconcerting, to say the least, when I overheard the desk clerk negotiate on the phone with prospective guests, offering them prices for rooms far below what we paid. The negotiation was in Greek, and I speak Greek. It is certainly not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2+. I have to say this is the first time I have been so disappointed with an Orbitz booking and its reviews.

It was a great spot that was not too far from the Metro so it was easy to get around. The price was good for what I got and the breakfast that was included was superb . . . I would stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Alexandros. The room was small, but clean, the staff very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The lobby very nice and it was off the main street so quiet though the walls were thin so you could hear noises from the hallway easily though the other guests were very well behaved and we sleep peacefully. The elevators are extremely small. This is listed as a four star hotel but I think that's a little bit of a stretch but it is an excellent hotel. The location is pretty good, with the subway within walking distance. The breakfast was very good for a European hotel.
