This place unfortunately went downhill since I stayed last folks. I have to say I wouldn't stay there. In need of updates. The comforters have holes. There are cobwebs as you walk in the door and dirt in every corner. The bed hurt. The attendant moved me to another room when I didn't like the first room and the second wasn't better. I said no smoking but that's all I could smell was smoke. Again cob webs and stains on sheets and floor. It was one night but very uncomfortable and I don't know what might have been on the bed but I itched all night.
I'm not a person that usually leaves negative comments.. The lady that checked me in was awsome.. Now to the room, my back was hurting to the point to were I went to Speedway up the road to get advil.. The bathroom was from the 70's.. May want to think about it before you stay..
The only nice thing was the lovely lady who checked us in. To put it mildly, the carpet was old, stretched out and stained. The room was dimly lit and not real clean. We travel frequently and we chose this motel because it was pet friendly- but it was so nasty We were concerned about our dog sleeping on the floor. This trip alone we stayed at other pet friendly chains for 20.00 less and ALOT better. We slept in our clothes.
This place is perfectly fine for extended stays. The room furniture and TVs may be dated but it is clean! Great price on the kitchenettes for extended stays with people who travel for work. I work nights and sleep days and it has never been loud. Staff is wonderful and friendly. They will accommodate you and make things right if you have any issues. Breakfast on site is typical but has good coffee and great ice machine! You can do your laundry on site. Not too far from Ashland center (5 miles) and plenty of places close to eat and shop.
This property was exactly what I expected it would be. Staff was very nice and accomodating. The beds are firm, so if you don't care for that, be aware. The room and bathroom were clean, as were the linens and towels. This was a place for me to sleep during three days of extensive travelling, a place to spend 8 hours for sleeping and a couple of hours in either winding down or gearing up. The breakfast left a bit to be desired, but what the heck, it was free. I would definitely stay here again.
First of all we made reservations online thru Wyndam. Were confirmed a queen non-smoking. What we got were two doubles non-smoking. The front desk insisted that the reservation came thru as 2 doubles, and that they did not have any queen-non smoking rooms available. We were pre-paid and it was too late to go looking for another hotel. This is a very old motel. Probably in the 60's. The rooms have not been remodeled since then. The furniture is solid, but dinged and scraped. It looked like the original wallpaper on the walls. Mildew was starting to grow in the caulk in the tub, and the sink did not have a stopper and it was showing its age. At least it was clean. T There is no hairdryer. No outlets for charging electronics, except above the sink.THe air conditioning unit had a loud fan, and got really loud when the compressor went on. Woke up at 4:30 a.m and couldn't go back to sleep because of the noise. Te room did have a tiny fridge, and tiny microwave, both yellow from age. The t.v. is a big old 90's Sharp that takes up lots of room on the credenza where luggage could be set. The sound on the tv is not good, and hardly can be heard over the air conditioning. I didn't want to turn it up all the way because it might wake the neighboring room. Breakfast was some Little Debbie rolls and snack cakes, bread and bagels plastic bags. No milk, and were out of orange juice. There was one table and two chairs that partly blocked the doorway to the breakfast area. Need to take food back to room to eat. Won't go to that hotel again unless there is no other option. The people at the reception desk were friendly.
Expedia messed up our reservation in Huntington WV so we had to take the only hotel room left within 50 miles. I wasn't expecting much, but come on. This place is RUN DOWN. Not only that, but general maintenance is terrible. Holes in the walls, cigarette burns all over the blankets and pillows, etc. I will sleep in my car before staying here again. Awful.
We bought and paid for this room online. It was late in the evening when we got in. The bed was hard which made for little sleep. The carpet was nasty the recliner chair was broke with wood falling out of it. There were so many holes in the wall that just have filling in them that it was ridiculous.
Got married on September 3rd! So for the 4th, we got our room (the King Size Jacuzzi Suite) absolutely loved it! The room stayed nice and cold with the AC, the hot water pressure for both the shower and tub worked well! Bed was nice and comfortable, nice TV with good selection of channels! Made it a four star because of a few issues, there were a cracked tile, the front cover of the tub was a little loose and one of the electric outlets was loose and my cell phone charger kept falling out of it... That being said, for the price and with everything else! Definitely enjoyed the stay and even have plans of possibly staying again for a longer stay in the near future!
It is habitable for a low rate and a short stay. It was not clean and looks like the furniture is never moved for cleaning. Two pillows and two of each towel size, not practical for two people. I had to clean and wipe everything down in the room. There was cat hair and a can of cat food that had rolled behind the tv desk. Desperately needs updating! Spider webs and mouse droppings. I even had a mouse visit me while in the room. Hair in the shower drain, dirt shower curtai, and stains in the shower. A simple wipe with Clorox cleaned the shower and other surfaces. I would not recommend this hotel if you have standards.
