We spent three nights in the Albemarle and enjoyed it thoroughly. Excellent breakfast and helpful and attentive staff. Beautiful room and lovely public area and spectacular verandah for relaxing. Wonderful stay.

We picked Albermarle Inn for a one night stop on our Blue Ridge tour. Very interesting historic inn tucked away in a quiet neighborhood a very short drive from downtown Asheville (less than 2-mile drive to restaurants in downtown - not walkable). The Inn is very well maintained. Each room has its own character. They have done a very nice job keeping things up to date (including room AC which was relatively quiet). The big draw here is breakfast. The Inn Keeper is the chef and puts out a fantastic gourmet breakfast - a must have! I have to also give a shout out to the Assistant Inn Keeper who checked us in. She gave us a very comprehensive tour of the Inn (really enjoyable to learn the history and get the architectural highlights), and was very knowledgeable of the local sites, restaurants, and things to see. Excellent place to stay!

My family rented the inn for the weekend of September 13-15th, 2019 and it was a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty! The innkeepers and staff were helpful and friendly. My wedding could not have been more beautiful! A special thank you to Laurie and Kay for going out of their way to attend to the smallest details. I would highly recommend this as a wedding destination or just a little getaway in the beautiful Grove Park neighborhood! Thank you...

The Albemarle Inn is tucked away yet gives ready access to Asheville. Albemarle's woodwork was crafted by the same artisan that did work at the Biltmore and it is stunning. The house offers many areas to enjoy private time beyond the beautiful rooms. We recently stayed in the Sunrise Suite which is a lovely two room suite with a tiny, but very workable ensuite. The bed, though very high, was so comfortable I actually ordered a set of the sheets and wish I could switch out our home mattress as easily. During one of the days I had the pleasure of walking around the historic neighborhood and hanging out on the elegant porch. Rosemary and Fabrizio are delightful as is Laurie! Laurie never missed a moment to make sure we were comfortable, even bringing out extra cushions to ease my bad back outside.

I had to wait a bit before writing this review as I wanted the review to be written after some reflection. First the positive-great location, minutes from downtown Asheville. The setting-in a secluded neighborhood with an awesome front porch-perfect for reading or having a glass of wine. The breakfasts were adequate-nothing unusual or remarkable. The hosts seemed to be going through the motions that come with running a BnB for seven years as they have-about the average time owners start to burn out. The interior of the Inn is something to see. However, the door to our room was a heavy oak sliding door that was difficult to move. We have stayed in BnBs all over the US and Europe and know a five star when we see one. This one is note quite there.

We enjoyed staying at Albemarle Inn. Everything was good: perfect location-close to high way , downtown, The Omni Grove Park Inn; historic charm of the house, modern amenities; freshly cooked breakfast. Our room on the top floor was very spacious and had everything we needed including a nook with a spare bed. only one if you have difficulties climbing steps ask for the ground floor. The steps are pretty seep.

This was my second stay at the inn and has become my favorite place to stay in Asheville. Looking for a quiet weekend after several busy weeks, we were looking forward to having some down time and found it. The innskeepers (and owners), Rosemary and Fabrizio, were pleasant and welcoming with smiles and a warm charm. We were provided a personal tour of the home upon our arrival and found out our room had some famous visitors (Bartok's Retreat). The front veranda was a quiet spot to relax and read while the birds were busy in the background. About 5 minutes from downtown, nearby to the Grove Park Inn, and places to eat in walking distance. We will certainly be back!

This bed & breakfast offers up lots of Southern charm and hospitality. Our room, a suite on the top floor, was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect of a four-star resort, despite this being a historic property. The proprietors, Fabrizio and Rosemary, were present and pleasant, offering to help us with anything we needed to make our stay a good one. Their staff was likewise welcoming. Because it's historic, there are stairs to get to the rooms. Staff offered to take our bags up for us, but you will have to navigate at least a flight of stairs to stay here. The best part of the Albermarle Inn is the beautiful patio, which opens into a lovely yard and garden. Although it's not huge, you feel secluded and like you have your own private oasis just minutes from town. My husband and I decided to spend a tranquil afternoon sitting on the porch, drinking wine and reading. If you want to be near town without being in the thick of things, this is a great little retreat.

We had a wonderful time at the Albemarle Inn!! The whole staff was wonderful! First, you are given a tour of the common areas and then a key to your room. If you wanted to know about anything in the area the staff would give their recommendations and even make reservations for you. We looked forward to our morning 3-course breakfast, so excited to find out what was on the menu each day. Then you can enjoy the afternoon social with wine & cheese, loved my conversation with Fabrizio the owner. We stayed in the Garden room which was very comfortable with soft linen, a perfect setting for sleeping in. Loved the location because most places were minutes away. We had to leave early in order for my daughter to drop me off at the Atlanta, GA airport. Rosemary made sure we had breakfast!!! We only had time for fruit and juice so I requested a breakfast sandwich to go. Now that's service! THANK YOU! Rosemary & Fabrizio plus staff for taking such good care of us!!!

Our stay here was exceptional! I loved each and every detail of my stay here, The rooms were immaculate and furnishings were superior! Breakfasts were scrumptious! The staff was super friendly and helpful! Totally classy and the ambience was perfect! In addition to a great staff, we were pleasantly greeted each morning by Simon, the inn’s special guest cat! We are looking forward to coming back again on our next visit to Asheville!
