Riu Palace Aruba All Inclusive

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Large group of us stayed at the palace. Food, rooms and pool are excellent. Liquor is pathetic, not even close to the well level so if drinking is why your doing an all inclusive and your not in your twenties or like a good drink-- think twice. It appears that they can only supply one well bottle at each bar so if you like tequila yhere is Jose Cuervo at pool bar Vodka drinkers have to go to lobby bar to get absolut (and you will only get it if you ask for it). Customer service is mediocre at best. And pool towel situation is a joke-- you have to account for your towel at all times or pay $20 to get another, unbelievable. Management could easily take from the food budget (buffets are overkill) and reallocate to spirits and towels and vacation would have been perfect. Most of us ended up going out last 3 nights just to get a cold beer or good drink.

This was just an OK resort. Room felt “dirty.” Pillow and blankets were really cheap. Drinks were also just ok - too fruity or not enough alcohol. Food was good!

High points: All the staff was terrific. Also the coffee bar off the lobby was splendid. Terrible. !. I booked and was confirmed an all-inclusive, adults only room with a king-size bed. I got a junior suite (the most expensive room available) with two double beds that could not even be pushed together to make a king-sized bed. Also the balcony did not abut the edge of the building and there was litter and trash between the balcony and the edge of the building. Also,, the building was not adults only (advertised as 21 plus) but was crawling with kids. 2, The specialty restaurants , no reservations accepted ( Asian, steak, and Italian) were small and the food was a C+ at best. In addition no cocktails were available in the restaurants only wine and champagne.

Amazing experience. The hotel/beach/service was outstanding. The beach was beautiful, the food was great. Everything you desire on a vacation and more. We will definitely be going back.

The restaurant situation was confusing. Could only go to a couple as we were a party of six and we couldn't get into many because of that.

Get experience. We usually do all-inclusive at a minimum but this trip we just want to relax with no extras. The hotel is huge but the rooms are split between three buildings so it balances the traffic. The pool area was beautiful and perfect with tons of chairs. Direct on the beach access. Close walk to other restaurants and shops in the square. 20min or less taxi ride to downtown or other popular restaurants. Right in the center of Palm Beach. Staff is helpful everywhere - excurstion staff in which front made booking excurstions easy with discount pricing and also booked our reservations for restaurants of the resort - highly recommended. We ate breakfast and lunch at the large buffet in the resort daily - very freash with diverse large selection of food. We ate at the Japanese and Italian restaurants - both were very good as well but I would highly recommend visiting atleast one of the highly recommended restaurants off the resort - Papiamento, Wacky Wahoo, Madam Janette (if the fit your budget). Drinks and beverages are very plentiful and always available at various locations. Staff is quick and responsive.

Overall the resort was great! The food enjoyable with many choices. A minor drawback- children should not be by the pool bar area playing ball etc. Which could be annoying to adults. Several pool area and steps to the beach. Staff was very attentive.

We arrived from NY only to find out the hotel was overbooked. They put us up at a sister hotel that was old and dated. Then 2 days later had a room for us so we were told we had to move. Who wants to pack and unpack and repack for a one week vacation.. Exhausting..

The entire experience was phenomenal... from the transportation at the airport to the cleanliness of the rooms.. It was perfect. Food was exceptional and drinks were awesome as well. Pictures are exactly like the hotel.. Definitely will visit again!

I highly recommend this all-inclusive hotel. You won't find better service or food.

Very nice hotel beautiful view and room very friendly staff

Glad we stayed at the Riu for our 25th anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and staff is great and a pleasure to talk with. The staff should be applauded for all they do. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the view was unbelievable. The shows were all very good, offered every night. The food was very good, enjoyed the buffet the most alot of options with specialty restaurants. When reading reviews keep in mind you can't please everyone and then some it doesn't take much to write a bad review. I was so worried about skme reviews i had read but my husband and I are so glad we stayed at the Riu So thank you and cheers to the Riu and your staff you were all great

Service was a little suspect. Waiting for a drink at one bar and was not noticed until after another person walked up after me and was immediately noticed! Took a long time for a drink. Same thing happened at Breakfast Buffet!

We recently did 4 day trip to aruba. There is really nothing much on the island and the activities to DO, you will find it all over carribean. So only thing you can enjoy is the Resort itself and we made a good choice of RIO. Food choice good, plenty of things to do. Lot of Resort organized activities etc.

This place gives peace and joyful experience without failing your expectations of a good vacation spot

We have been here couple times before the hotel was recently renovated but not the hallways and bedrooms which need a facelift . We even convinced my brother his wife and kids to join us. The outdoor facility swim up bars and sauna were wonderful. Right on the beach - food was excellent esp breakfast . Love the fact that you can share the amenities at the adult RIU Antilles ... Gym needs an upgrade . The only issue I was very disappointed with was Orbitz guaranteed pricing policy . I submitted all the necessary documents when I found out next day they had same hotel flight times for 400 cheaper and they gave me a run around to get my refund. Was a shame since it was there own website . I was so busy trying to get ready for trip I couldn't keep pushing the issue but I will.. So orbitz service was not I had expected .

THE ENTIRE WAIT STAFF WAS PHENOMINAL. GREAT POOL, AND OUTSTANDING MEALS FROM SEVERAL RESTAURANTS TO CHOOSE FROM.

Our experience was a great one at this hotel. Beach was awesome right past the pool. Everything you need is right at the hotel. The buffet had plenty of food and different varieties each day. The view was breathtaking I would definitely recommend Riu Palace I'm looking forward to my next visit

We had a great experience. Staff was outstanding. We had some small issues that were handle immediately.
