Leopold Hotel Antwerp

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Nice hotel close to the city centre of Antwerp. Friendly staff. Breakfast is until 11:30, which is convenient. It is possible to check out later, if you want.

Pros: Very nice clean rooms and great lobby. The drinks/food menu were great too. Staff was also pretty friendly. Loved the Ipod dock for music! Very nice quiet area as the hotel faces a beautiful park but walk around the corner and you get more than couple of restaurants. Cons: No fresh towels. Kept calling for fresh towels even after we had the room cleaned. Very poor blow dryer (bring your own!). Lighting in the room could be better. No minibar. Twin beds were not very comfy. Also, room keys kept disabling. Make sure to keep them away from your cell phone!

good value and great rooms and staff and very clean

Stayed at Leopold Hotel on a last minute trip for music festival in Boom. Location is good if you want a quieter area (across from park), but if you'd rather be in the heart of it you'll want to stay closer to the Hilton. Rooms were nice and hotel staff was friendly and helpful, bar/restaurant area wasn't too busy, less of a hangout spot more of a good convenience.

The Leopold is a bit away from the main drag but still a short walk to shopping, museums, and the train station and other transport. I think it's a good place to chill after a day of tourism or work... Oh the breakfasts are good; try to get a rate with breakfast rolled in.

Lots of sightseeing, dining, and relaxing. Karl in the cocktail lounge treated us like old friends and was most hospitable. Front desk staff very cordial and helpful.

It is a good business hotel. Close to Diamond Office Area

Excellent location. Very efficient, helpful and cordial staff, accommodating and very friendly. It would be better if they had a mini bar-refrigerater in the room.

This is a business hotel which is currently going thru renovations. If you are in the room during day, you may hear noise.

As we exited the Antwerp train station to look for a cab, the driver told us we could easily walk to our hotel in a few minutes and declined to take us. We spent the next half-hour hauling luggage while looking for the hotel, which no one seemed to know about. The hotel is handy to the diamond district but a long ways (over a mile) from the historic part of the city. Although the hotel did offer a continental breakfast, we had to walk five or six blocks to find a full-service restaurant for dinner. The better restaurants are in the historic area, which is even further. Our first room faced a noisy street. The hotel moved us the next morning due to a maintenance problem in the room above us. That room faced an alley which was significantly quieter. The staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel does face a nice park, but we didn't have time to check it out.
