We've been there for 4 nights , we enjoyed. Friendly staff, very well situated at centre of Ankara, and very good breakfast, and clean room. Will be back there. The only matter is,, you have to try to speak Turkish because not many people can speak English in Ankara.
Hotel is at least 10 years old and was heavily used. Room was small, minibar empty, side bed lamps were missing. Bathroom was in a disastrous state, almost a public bathroom state. Restaurant area has no windows which, along with an average breakfast, doesn't really help start well the day.
Just pick up your camera then start shoot everything that you see.Breakfast is just fine.Very close to the subway station.Ask the front office employee to see the all empty rooms' wall be sure you'll find the legendary movie stars' pictures.Good fir staying very well designed price is acceptable. Very warm hotel personel , fast solutioning the problem.
The hotel is located near a metro station and that is good. However, there are a number of clubs around and there is a lot of unwanted activity around the hotel particularly on Saturday. We liked the smiles at the reception and the fact that the hotel offered bottles of water for guests. But the hotel failed us in two important ways. The hotel does not have non-smoking rooms. Cigarette smoke works its way into the fabric, including the pillows. Trying to sleep smelling that awful smell is not something worth paying for. The other problem is that walls are thin. If the guest in the next room has a number of phone conversations, you might become part of it. Wi-fi is tricky - it may or may not work. There is only one elevator and it is quite small. And if you have a car, be warned: The hotel doesn't really have parking space.
The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the hotel is located next to a tube station. It is also a walkable distance away from the main railway station and the Ataturk Memorial. The staff are helpful and friendly, and I found the place to be an ideal base for exploring Ankara. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.
First of all I would like to appreciate staff in reception who helped me to keep the baggage after check out till my bus time came up. really very helpful staff there. The Maltepe 2000 has lovely cinema decoration and in website previews looks quite attractable. I did not like the breakfast to be honest, AC in the room wasn't sufficient, damaged lights and fug were disappointing me.
We stayed two nights at Maltepe 2000 hotel after arriving at the train station. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the station. We arrived at about 1 PM but the reception was very welcoming and gave us a room immediately. Due to a religious holiday (Eid-ul-Fitr) everything around the hotel was closed. It is across the street from Maltepe metro station so that we were able to use the metro very easily for sightseeing. The room was very clean. Tea and coffee were provided in the room along with two bottles of water. The staff were extremely helpful with all our questions. We would definitely stay here again.
First we had the problem with parking even though we paid for parking. The car place is next to the hotel for four cars one by one. Next we got the room for non-smokers which smelled of cigaretes. The breakfast is less than average. If you go later tha plates will be empty. Not go there anymore.
First day we arrive to find the toilet seat filthy, covered in urine. Then Had to change rooms after one day due to awful smoking smell. In the next room the toilet kept breaking. The AC was terrible in both rooms. The rooms are very dark. The kettle didnt work in the 2nd room. Staff are idle and need to be prompted to do something more than once. I dont leave many bad reviws but this place was awful. For 50 euros a night keep looking
The hotel is located opposite the entrance of the Maltepe Metro stop. This means that is very easy to travel anywhere in the city to visit attractions. It is also within walking distance of the Ankara train station from where we took a train to Erzurum. Very nice area with a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel has a Hollywood theme so you will find pictures of Marilyn Monroe in the bedroom and of Elvis greeting you at breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean with good beds and bedding. Staff is friendly and helpful and there is free wifi that works. We stayed here twice and the first time we had a good size bedroom , but on the second visit we got a very, very small room for two people. We requested a bigger room and was given it immediately. Breakfast was good with a big selection.
