Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa

We arrived after a long day of travel to find that they had sold our rooms to someone else. Pitiful!!!

Hotel seems slightly worn, has been-ish. Breakfast buffet is subpar for a Sheraton. I paid $27 just to have yogurt, oatmeal, berries, and double espresso from the buffet, although the service was good. They also charge for regular coffee in the lobby. Kind of tacky. Right next to a cemetary, FYI.

We were led to believe that transportation from airport would be available. When we arrived and called we found out that the transportation was a $30 cab ride. We rented a car for our stay then were informed of a$15 per day parking fee which was waived after our complaints. Most hotels provide complimentary coffee in the lobby. The only coffee available was Starbucks at $4 per cup. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful beautiful clean organized The restaurant attention was kind Thank you for make our honey moon special.

I stayed at the Sheraton for 3 nights last month and had a great time. It is accessible to many restaurants, the Mall, and right up the street from the Alaska Museum. I chose to take the "Green" option so I did not have housekeeping clean my room for my stay, and it was nice to have the option of receive 5.00 vouchers or 500 Starwood Points instead. I highly recommend going to the Ice Spa while you are there - I indulged in the Tranquility Soak and the RedFlower Energizing Ritual - both were fantastic and I truly enjoyed the ambience and the amazing view from my treatment room. I also went to the Ptarmigan Lounge and enjoyed drinks and dinner. The staff there was very friendly and informative in regards to things to do in the Anchorage area. All in all a very nice stay!

They found out this was our anniversary and upgraded our room at no charge- new room had an amazing view!

Chose this hotel because it was so close to where my daughter lives. Now I know to choose it for its great staff and facilities. Every time we came in to the hotel we were greeted with a genuine "welcome" and asking if they can offer any help. Cody was especially helpful for us, thank you Cody. The guest breakfast is served in their club suite on the 11th floor so we had a fantastic view of downtown and the harbor. Being downtown meant that there were plenty of fun bars and restaurants just a short distance away. I recommend the Bubbly Mermaid for a fun and unique experience.

Room was clean and comfortable, the location was perfect downtown, close to shopping and clubs.

Bed was made but room wasn't completely serviced. Don't go here unless you have to

We stayed 3 nights. It was definitely one of the better hotels we have stayed in. The beds were great, room was great with a beautiful view and the staff was very friendly and tentative. Dinner was amazing! Our only cons were the breakfast which was so subpar we went to the grocery store and purchased oatmeal cups for the rest of our stay, and the parking situation. The parking options are to park in the lot in front of the building or in the parking garage. The parking garage is great because the weather in Anchorage is off and on. The only problem is there are no doors ito the building from the parking garage. So you get the park out of the weather but then you have to go out in the weather to get to the hotel. But overall is was a great hotel and we would stay there again.

Stayed two nights and had reservation for an additional night the following week. Had to change our plans for the third stay, but they would not credit us for the night we had to miss. Will be spending lots of time in Anchorage this year, but will not stay here again.

Just past the downtown area, this hotel is in a boring location next to a cemetery. The room, with its two beds, was cramped, and there was no pool or free breakfast (for the rate I chose on Orbitz). The hotel is within walking distance of the closest supermarket, but you'll have to walk through a dreary neighborhood to get there.

Just spent one day on our way to a cruise. The hotel is really well located, walking distance to downtown mall and restaurants. Excellent srrvice, nice room.

Fantastic view of Merrill Field airport and mountains. I was really surprised by the mattress. It could have been the worse one I have ever slept on. Good mattresses lose their comfort after 15- 20 years, by experience, but to say these were good I would have to estimate their age at around 125 years and that would be after dragging them out of a bear's cage. I switched sides with my Wife and just about had to swing my leg up out of the hole I was in as if getting on a horse, good-god?

We were disappointed to find that both of our trash cans had not been emptied (which our toddler son promptly dumped all over the floor), there was hair on the floor and toothpaste smeared on the counter. They also decided to work on the plumbing early in the morning which woke us all up. Pretty disappointing for a supposedly 4 star hotel.

The hotel is clean. The club lounge is awesome. Walking distance to the mall, many restaurants. $15 charge for the parking.

The staff was all very helpful and welcoming. The exercise room was well equipped. This hotel does not include a pool or hot tub. Spa services seemed expensive.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. However, when I checked in, I was hoping to order room service since I had not eaten since lunch much earlier in the day. There was no room service menu. The next morning I could not find a hair dryer in the room. So missing these items did impact my overall evaluation of the hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite! The service counter clerk went out of his way to make things special. Even gave us free parking. The view was great! Improvements are needed though. The paint is cracking in the bathroom. Several areas were dusty. The carpet out in the hallway on 4th floor where we stayed was pulling up and curling (near rm 415) which could be a tripping hazard.

Very mediocre for the expense. Not so much as a continental breakfast. Actual food on site was less than par, again for the expense. Restaraunt service was very mediocre however the front desk staff were very pleasant but whom ever that sloppily dressed bellhop was, he was quite creepy and rude to several people. Not sure if we'd return... Aside for the view.
