Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa

Staff always accommodating. I stay at this hotel frequently. Recent room renovations are nice.

There is no breakfast. Charged $21 for breakfast buffet that was in the lobby. Wait staff did not explain or give option of having a menu. Confusing. Went to spa for facial and friend to get massage. Spa is dirty. Hair on surface. Mirrors dusty and hair brush had hair from previous customer. Unable to print out invoice to see before deciding on tip based on amount. Instead receptionist talked very loud with charges. Check out was noon but at 0830 maid walked in to my room without knocking. I loved the bed and heavy blankets though. Oh and charged $15 a night to park or $24 a night for valet. Hidden charges.

There’s a charge for parking at the hotel. Seems like if you’re paying as much a night you should be able to park there for free. There’s a charge for WiFi. Some of the channels don’t work on the TV. There’s a small fridge but no microwave. They remodeled the ninth floor so the chemical smell was over powering. It’s a great hotel in general. I would recommend to someone but I won’t be back.

Room was nice but basic. Problem was it never warmed up. Understand it is Anchorage in the winter, but we could never get the room warm enough to take off sweaters. Charged a ridiculous $4 for a soda and for a candy bar. Ate at the restaurant for one breakfast ($$$) but fare was basic, maybe a half step up from a free breakfast at a limited service hotel. Watched staff give vouchers to others but we were never offered despite paying full price for room over three nights. No on site parking but they did give a pass to park on surface lot across the street. Too far away from most downtown amenities to walk.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton in Anchorage very much so minus a few small things that are fixable! It is in a great easy location downtown so we were able to park the car and walk everywhere which was great! The room itself was nice as well, but the bathroom was not the cleanest upon arrival and it had a toilet in it that looked like should’ve been in a public restroom not a hotel! We ate at the restaurants the ptmargian who had two of the best servers we had the entire trip they were both awesome and the food was great! As for the Jade restaurant thank God the buffet was complimentary the day we went and ate breakfast because the food was not good! It was more like a continental breakfast instead of a buffet! Other than those things we enjoyed our stay and would come back!

Relaxing ambiance staff was very nice hotel was very clean

Booked a short notice trip to visit my brother in Anchorage. Picked this hotel out of a list on Orbitz. Had to cancel my trip 4 days in advance of our travel date due to illness (vertigo) and doc advised not to travel. Shocked to discover the hotel reservation was non-refundable and non-changable. This is a hotel in Anchorage in the off-season, and I was also willing to move the reservation to another date a few weeks out. The hotel was not even close to booked full. Orbitz attempted to intervene on my behalf, but the hotel would not make ANY accommodation. Orbitz advised me to they had the ability to change the name on the reservation on their end, so I changed it to some friend of my brother who said they would use it if it was otherwise going to waste. I have never had a Sheraton not allow cancellations that far in advance, and no, it didn't cross my mind to read the fine trip on the booking, as I use that site frequently. Definitely will not stay at this hotel out of principle, even if it is a nice hotel (excepting their horrible customer service).

From checking in, to breakfast, to my departure, I experienced some of the kindest staff at any hotel I’ve stayed at. The thermostat in my room had a few problems, but the staff was committed to fixing it and seeing to my comfort.

The Sheraton Hotel and Ice Spa is an amazing place to stay, personally enjoy adding a spa treatment, but it's an excellent hotel either way!

We arrived after a long day of travel to find that they had sold our rooms to someone else. Pitiful!!!

Hotel seems slightly worn, has been-ish. Breakfast buffet is subpar for a Sheraton. I paid $27 just to have yogurt, oatmeal, berries, and double espresso from the buffet, although the service was good. They also charge for regular coffee in the lobby. Kind of tacky. Right next to a cemetary, FYI.

We were led to believe that transportation from airport would be available. When we arrived and called we found out that the transportation was a $30 cab ride. We rented a car for our stay then were informed of a$15 per day parking fee which was waived after our complaints. Most hotels provide complimentary coffee in the lobby. The only coffee available was Starbucks at $4 per cup. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful beautiful clean organized The restaurant attention was kind Thank you for make our honey moon special.

I stayed at the Sheraton for 3 nights last month and had a great time. It is accessible to many restaurants, the Mall, and right up the street from the Alaska Museum. I chose to take the "Green" option so I did not have housekeeping clean my room for my stay, and it was nice to have the option of receive 5.00 vouchers or 500 Starwood Points instead. I highly recommend going to the Ice Spa while you are there - I indulged in the Tranquility Soak and the RedFlower Energizing Ritual - both were fantastic and I truly enjoyed the ambience and the amazing view from my treatment room. I also went to the Ptarmigan Lounge and enjoyed drinks and dinner. The staff there was very friendly and informative in regards to things to do in the Anchorage area. All in all a very nice stay!

They found out this was our anniversary and upgraded our room at no charge- new room had an amazing view!

Chose this hotel because it was so close to where my daughter lives. Now I know to choose it for its great staff and facilities. Every time we came in to the hotel we were greeted with a genuine "welcome" and asking if they can offer any help. Cody was especially helpful for us, thank you Cody. The guest breakfast is served in their club suite on the 11th floor so we had a fantastic view of downtown and the harbor. Being downtown meant that there were plenty of fun bars and restaurants just a short distance away. I recommend the Bubbly Mermaid for a fun and unique experience.

Room was clean and comfortable, the location was perfect downtown, close to shopping and clubs.

Bed was made but room wasn't completely serviced. Don't go here unless you have to

We stayed 3 nights. It was definitely one of the better hotels we have stayed in. The beds were great, room was great with a beautiful view and the staff was very friendly and tentative. Dinner was amazing! Our only cons were the breakfast which was so subpar we went to the grocery store and purchased oatmeal cups for the rest of our stay, and the parking situation. The parking options are to park in the lot in front of the building or in the parking garage. The parking garage is great because the weather in Anchorage is off and on. The only problem is there are no doors ito the building from the parking garage. So you get the park out of the weather but then you have to go out in the weather to get to the hotel. But overall is was a great hotel and we would stay there again.

Stayed two nights and had reservation for an additional night the following week. Had to change our plans for the third stay, but they would not credit us for the night we had to miss. Will be spending lots of time in Anchorage this year, but will not stay here again.
