The hotel was under heavy construction so everything was covered in dry-wall dust. The water was shut off every day from noon to 3pm. The pool is closed indefinitely and I was woken up by construction right above my room every day at 8am. We are talking buzz saws, hammering, and dragging cables all over the floor. When I asked for a room change the staff was rude and unapologetic and told me there was nothing they can do. I asked if they can tell them not to work directly above my room and she insisted there is nothing that could be done. I even asked about checking out early and the staff said I can do whatever I want. They already have my money. To be honest, I would avoid this hotel in general. But for at least the rest of 2018. It's a construction zone trying to rip off customers.

We spent a week in the Anchorage area and this hotel was a good base for our stay. Breakfast was adequate, location is good and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is an old facility. They are renovating at this time. My understanding is that the third floor is closed while work is done. It seems likely that the hotel will be nicer when renovations are complete.

Had a wonderful stay in Alaska , anchorage. Room was a great size lived having a living room away from the bedroom .nice and clean and very friendly staff. And OMG the breakfast was amazing. We will be coming back again from Ohio LOVE Alaska

Pleasantly surprised with my stay at Q.S.! Have stayed at several other anchorage downtown hotels and would put Q.S. on my short list of places to stay!

Always good stay give it 4 star stay clean very clean, will be a repeat customer. Very intelligent smart happy staff.

So for a cheap fix, worth it. Are you going to feel like the Ritz, NO! Elevator stunk!!! The fridge was broken in our room. Some of the lights were blown in the sitting area of our room. There were stains on the love seat in the sitting room of our room. The pillows are the size of couch throw pillows- too small! However, we stayed one night- we would most likely stay again because of the value and location. Very convenient to downtown. We walked to see things and to eat- very great location, but small parking lot. Breakfast was a bit better than the normal continental breakfast people are used to, got a few things and didn't eat it all due to being sort of rubbery. But people seemed to gobble it right up!

Overall it’s a nice place. The only issues I had were... 1). They didn’t have sufficient parking especially on weekends. You either had to park on the street (which is free on weekends and mostly full the entire time) or pay for parking in one of the public parking lots nearby. 2). The housekeepers always seemed to knock before 9 am. I’m all for coming in and getting the job done, but if you know people are staying over and not checking out that day, maybe wait until after 9 am or so. Just my opinion.

It was clean but a good walk to shopping and eating. Staff not helpful or knowledgeable on how guests can get around. Would not stay here again.

Only there 15 hours. Staff very helpful and room was and comfortable.

Nice, basic hotel. Friendly staff and decent sized room for the price.

Good hotel, good location. Huge room, really nice. Extremely convenient and near to everything. We walked to most places.

We mainly chose this because it had a pool for the kids. Paid more than we typically would spend on a room, but the pool had hours of use. Elevator was a little slow, and parking is a little tight, and that is about all the negatives that we have.

Staff was very helpful and kind. They even tracked down a lost phone and drove it to the airport before my plane left! Hooray!

We have stayed there about 5 times over the last few years. We love the location, central to all we do in Anchorage.

Friendly staff, ok breakfast, convenient location to down town. Only one elevator, very loud ac unit, pool was down for maintenance and we were not notified prior to visit. They did give access to sister hotel down the street for pool use. Some furniture was busted.

Not the largest rooms, but all I want a hotel room for is to sleep and shower, so it works. Excellent value!

only negative is that it took a long time to wait for free shuttle they advertised - 2 hour wait. Did not get to look around downtown as everything was dark and closed.

Nothing terribly positive or negative to say. The pool was pretty nice and it was a close walk to some nearby bars.

Staff was friendly and service was prompt. Free shuttle which is always nice since it's far from the airport. The breakfast is above average. The rooms were clean and big. Overall a fine place to stay a couple of nights.

hotel was clean, staff friendly and accommodating. Good continental breakfast!Central to the conference.
