Cedric and Dexter are both the homies! Cedric is the night time manager and he was the first one to greet me when I arrived early in the morning. He had a huge smile on his face and you could tell this dude was cool. Dexter is the bar tender and he knows how to make a drink a take care of the customers. The only reason I gave the hotel 4 out of 5 is because I was charged a $100 smoking cleaning fee when I didn't even smoke in the room. I left a joint butt in the trash can and got charged for that. BS

This hotel was basically very nice but, the loudness from the street and the room next door was not good. The location was good. The lack of a shuttle to the airport was disappointing. The bed was comfortable.

We stayed here for several days pre-cruise. Since we did rent a car we used the valet, and though a bit expensive, the service was fast and friendly. Our room was on a top floor corner, so the views were amazing - Denali was clear as a bell, and the activity at the train depot was fun to watch. Any kind of restaurant you want is within close walking distance, as are a couple museums. The food and drink served at the hotel cafe and lounge was all very good. Bed quite comfortable and bathroom large enough. All very clean. Would stay here again (if we are lucky enough to get back to Alaska.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Hilton. The staff, ALL of them, were extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn't be better. Slow elevators, but not a big deal. The hotel is close to the market and a short walk to downtown. Lots going on around here.

We stayed here for four nights during the Anchorage marathon. The rooms were very comfortable and except for one night when there was an event going on on the floor above us it was a quite stay. The hotel is in the middle of a lot of downtown activities and is good for walking to a lot of places. Two reasons we will not stay here again though. Parking - you have a voice of on the street parking or $30 a day valet. Eating in the hotel - we went to the cafe for breakfast one morning, but left after finding out the buffet was $19 per person. There were other choices, but they were all more expensive then leaving the hotel. If location is your main objective this is a good hotel, otherwise I would go outside of downtown.

The Hilton is so central you can walk everywhere in ANC. We booked a club room - (beware that its not open at weekends) which was good as we could get cold drinks all day and a few bites in the evening. We had a great view across the city, railroad and the water. Comfortable bed, very clean and spacious room. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Walking distance to the railroad station if you are taking train to Seward as we did. There is a great Irish Pub in ANC a few blocks back from the Hilton, well worth a visit.

Stayed here after train from Seward following cruise -- good choice as was 7-min walk with bags from train while others waited for limited taxi's after train arrived. Central location to multiple shopping, eating and weekend market is right across street. Hotel is an older property and rooms are comfortable but dated and aged. Wifi fast, bathrooms good size and rooms accommodating for a good night sleep. Breakfast buffet OK (would say limited and not readily re-supplied) so may consider eating out if buffet not included in room rate. Overall if looking for a central location to see Anchorage either before or after a cruise -- a good choice. Must take a taxi to the airport from the hotel as no service offered -- but a 15-min ride and approx. $20

Hotel is not up to the Hilton Brand and this facility needs a major overhaul. Staff doesn't care so if you have to stay there, be prepared to be ignored. They will look at you like you are not there and do not listen.

Stayed at the Hilton Anchorage while attending a conference. My spouse came along to enjoy some time away. All staff that we spoke to at the hotel were lovely! Very friendly, helpful. Room was clean and comfortable though not huge despite being a "deluxe room". I'm assuming that is due to the view of the water. Room décor is a bit dated but not a big deal. Nice location for us and added bonus of the weekend market across the street.

Over all it was a pleasant stay. A few black marks are the dated lobby and furnishings in the room (my curtains had holes in them). The staff was always eager to help and inquire about my stay. However, on more than one night I attempted to call room service and after 20 rings no one answered my call. I attempted to contact the front desk with the same result. The first night I gave up and went out. The second time I tried I just kept ringing. Perhaps they were busy, but they should at least pick up the phone and ask the customer to hold. The service and accommodations do not match the price of the stay.
