The Ink Hotel Amsterdam by Sofitel is a cosy boutique hotel serving with exactly the type of service one expects from an industry leader. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable staff who were always eager to provide advice, recommendations, and directions around the city. The location is ideal, the food excellent, and the service outstanding. I highly recommend this if you enjoy being in a central location

INK Hotel is a good hotel overall. It's pretty much located about 5 minutes from the square and all the other attractions. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are european style which is quaint but gets the job done which is sleep and showering. Breakfast is good as well and is a great start for the day.

Good hotel in general. Nice design, and very clean and nice room, even though they are small. We were not impressed with the staff in the hotel. They were friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the area, and did not practice the kind of service I would expect from a hotel this level. One of the days we didn't have any towels in the room when getting back from a full day walking around in town. We alled the reception and told them, and they apologized and said they would fix it. 45 min later, and still no towels I called down again, and again she said she would fix it, but the cleaner was busy. We never got towels, and had to leave for our evening out at a restaurant without showers.

Although I got lost getting to this hotel from the Centraal Station, it is very easy to find (once I did find it lol) !!! Just a five minute walk from the Central Station. Centrally located to all the city has to offer. About a 7 minute walk to Anne Frank Huis. The women at the check-in counter were very helpful in pointing out all the sights and how I would go about getting there. The tram just outside of hotel will take you to Rijksmuseum (IAMsterdam sign), Van Gogh Museum, and shopping. Our rate included breakfast every morning. The Italian cook was pleasant every morning and his eggs were delicious! Great way to start your day. The hotel itself is small and quaint. The rooms are cozy and clean. The room itself had a lot of quirky details. Make sure you don't overlook the hidden fridge that is in your desk! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

High priced Overall good experience. Good quiet location.

If you want a romantic stay, I suggest getting a top floor room with the skylight window that pivots out. This hotel is right next to a trolley stop, so you can get connected to most of the city, right outside the door. There are restaurants and bodegas located in the surrounding storefronts. Very close to the Royal Palace and Nieuw Kerk.

I had a long layover in Amsterdam and spent the night here. The location is great - a short tram ride from the Centraal station or the Museum district (where the airport bus dropped me off). If you don't have too much baggage it's easy to get to on public transport. Small room (expected) but nicely decorated and very comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and recommended a quant traditional restaurant to get mussels and fries for dinner, as well as organizing tickets for the Van Gogh museum. Breakfast in the hotel was decent (I chose the cheaper continental breakfast but they have a full buffet if you prefer). The hotel bar is a bit old-fashioned and stuffy, and was quite dead when I was there, so for a drink I recommend heading out to a pub/bar nearby instead. Compared to a previous night in a hotel closer to the Centraal station, this was much better and even cheaper. I'd happily stay again!

Great location, excellent staff but rooms are small and a bit shop worn. The rooms are definitely in need of some upgrading to warrant the advertised quality level of the hotel (presumed to be a 5 star property). I would classify the property as a 3 star at best. Dining is problematic in that the food choices are small and lean toward "a bite to eat if say the weather was inclement and one did not wish to go out" to eat.

Great location at a great price. Hot water was non existent on the last day of pur trip and housekeeping accused me if wasting their time because I woke up at noon every day (hey its Amsterdam!!!). Otherwise staff was great and attentive. Very polite. The beds and pillows were fantastic. I could not think of any more I could've wanted in my stay at The Convent.

Perfect location for exploring the city and traveling by train or bus to other areas outside of Amsterdam. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was a little small when compared to USA hotel rooms, but about average when compared with European hotels. Location was good for easy walking to restaurants, museums, and site-seeing locations.

Based on the price, we expected the room to be a little more spacious, but it was stiil comfortable. Lobby and Dining Room were very nicely appointed, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had just spent 2 weeks in South Africa and then an 11 hour plane ride to Amsterdam. We arrived to the most wonderful lobby and deskperson. We were early but she gave us the room and we loved it. Clean Bright Spacious and with robes and slippers. Close to everything as we only had a 24 hour layover. It made for a wonderful night before our 10 hour flight to Houston. WE WILL BE BACK!

The staff were extremely professional and willing to assist with your every need! Location is excellent , 1 minute walk to Dam Square- shops, markets, restaurants. Room very comfortable! Free wifi and business center.

Was only here for 1 night but was pleased by how quiet the rooms were and how comfortable the beds were! It was honestly my best sleep of my weeklong Europe trip. Simple to get to and from the airport and convenient to many bars and restaurants. Pricer than I normally go, but everything less expensive looked shoddy and hostel-like.

The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was great (don't forget the special order included items). The room was very comfortable and clean. It was everything you could ask for in a hotel for travel for pleasure or business.

Wonderful Hotel, wonderful location, wonderful staff, wonderful stay!

This hotel was very convenient to lots of attractions and central station, about a ten-minute walk. The staff was friendly and professional and the beds were the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. The room was cleaned to perfection every day. Couldn't have been happier! Definitely recommend this hotel

The Convent Hotel in Amsterdam was wonderful. A 5-minute walk from the train station, the hotel is a perfect location for seeing most of the Amsterdam sights via walking. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, hotel staff professional and supportive, the rooms are not large but space is optimized so there are extra chairs, a desk, a table, nice TV, mini-bar and a king size comfortable bed with excellent down pillows. The bathroom was clean and while the water pressure in the shower was not the strongest I have experienced, it was a lot better than some hotels I stayed. I will look for Convent Hotels in other cities I visit.

The hotel is located very conveniently to a variety of attractions, yet is relatively quiet and spacious. The staff were superb, and suggested excellent restaurants, bike rentals, unusual museums, etc. Thanks!

Excellent service. Free WIFI. Good location. Tram station is just out front for access to the whole city. The staff was great. The beds were sooooo comfortable. Would stay there again.
