I stayed here for one night while attending a conference at Muhlenberg College. It took a little longer than I expected to get back and forth but it wasn't a problem. Everyone was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and there's really not anything to complain about. Typical Sleep Inn experience.
Midway through our trek from Knoxville to Cape Cod we were lucky enough to find the Allentown Sleep Inn to spend the night. Everything about it was positive. Dave at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The two rooms we had were clean and quiet. Everything worked properly and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than many "free" breakfasts I've had. The waffles were a treat. The experience was so good we stayed again on the way back to Knoxville.
My husband & I were traveling home to TN from Maine and needed an overnight stay after a long day in traffic. This hotel got good reviews so we pulled in. In my exhaustion, I booked a room for the wrong date. Almost in tears realizing what I had done, Phillip, at the front desk, jumped into action, called Choice Hotels for me and got the reservation changed. He is my hero! The hotel is very nice, clean, and inviting. We are very thankful to have found it!
This is our third and fourth stays here, same room a week apart. Interestingly, one visit was 10$ more for same night of the week. The good: staff is great. Got the room we wanted, no problem with check in or out. Excellent fields for dog to run around in back, Thank goodness Boston Pizza gone, but now only Yuccos and Starlight diner for food. We brought our own. Dog friendly. The room for improvement : bacon was not crispy, extremely greasy, breakfast not appealing here Hotel smells like smoke. Gross. I wish this was a smoke free hotel. No extra toilet paper the first stay, no sheets or pillow cases for pull out bed the second stay. When I got a pillow from the front desk, it had blood on it. That dropped my opinion of this hotel to less than acceptable. Noisy last stay. Carpet was so dirty it stained our socks black. Mini fridge could not get cold, has no freezer area so our ice blocks were not able to be refrozen which stinks for trips since we use them. The staff that works here is great and I am sad I have to write about the decrease in cleanliness this hotel usually has. The carpets need to be deep cleaned. More smoke eaters if you are keeping it a smoking hotel. The fridges are not cold enough and please check to be sure your linens and pillows do not have human excretions on them.
Nice room.. checked bed and for dust and was very clean. Smell in room was refreshing and the bed was excellent to sleep in. Hotel very close to a restaurant so we walked. Everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable of the area.
We had a last minute business trip and required a very early check in for the next day. Dave at the front desk was very professional, friendly and accommodating and in a matter of minutes made it happen. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, modern and well kept. Will be back for sure
Just decided not to drive all the way thru so checked trip advisor and checked in here. Front desk gentleman was friendly and got me right into a perfect room. Clean, large and wonderful bed. All the bells and whistles including cookies and apples. Will schedule my stops here for now on! Full breakfast I hear too.
It was nice a quite place at night the beds were ah not very comfortable but I'm a big person the room was clean but a little small the breakfast was great next to what most places offer sausage and egg Jimmy dean style eggs waffles danish yogurt bananas it was ok the staff was very nice the a/c was ok it was a nice time just must change the beds
The room was okay, clean. The typical breakfast fare was nothing to write home about. Location is sort of hard to find, though great in distance to the highway. The problem lay in the fact that they have yet to make the hotel smoke free. The third floor is split between non and smoking but yet when you get off of the elevator the first thing you smell is smoke, all the way to your non-smoking room. it's rather off putting.
Although the room itself looked a bit dated and slightly "worn", it was very clean. For travellers today it seems a bit scarce on outlets and, as with many hotels, simply not enough space for bag placements. But the bed was extremely comfortable and everything we needed was available. The most amazing aspect of the room was the unbelievably quiet AC unit. I don't believe I have ever encountered such a quiet unit in a hotel. Such an unexpected joy! The welcome was warm and genuine and the lady at the breakfast buffet was a lovely addition to the morning. The buffet itself was very extensive for such a small area - cereals, assorted breads and pastries, eggs and sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, assorted yogurts. More than you would expect for such a small area and yet everything was fresh and delicious. We would definitely stay again.
