Beautiful property with ample space to accomodated socializing and quiet zones for a large family. Fishing off the dock and nearby was great - Northern pike, large mouth bass, rock bass, and pan fish. Lake was great for recreational use - tubing, skiing. Bedrooms were large, quiet, and spread out. Bunk room was a huge hit with the kids. Pictures don't do it justice.

Family Vacation

The property was beautiful, nice big back yard where we were able to play whiffle ball, the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad and slide. We were wishing there was a firepit as we were ready to do smores but that would not be a deal breaker if we were going to stay here again, the place is really nice! The communication was excellent!

Family Vacation

We stayed 4 nights with our kids and grandkids. The house was very clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend this home for large families. The yard is great for playing games and the lake is beautiful. The slide and lily pad were a big hit with the kids. They also were very excited about fishing off the dock. The only thing they were a little bummed about was no fire pit to make s’mores.

Luxury getaway!

The family enjoyed the stay over the weekend for a wedding in Alexandria. The house was nicer than advertised! The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was the nicest and best equipped we have ever had at a VRBO house. The deck was perfect, the swim area by the dock was great. The theater room downstairs was fantastic as was the pool table. So many great things to say about this house. The host Sheila was excellent! I highly recommend this house and location.

The home is beautiful! Lilly pad and hot tub were very nice additions. Neighborhood was nice and quite. Water was clear and kids loved swimming off the slide. Home was large and very comfortable. Check in process was easy. The host was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We had the best time at this property on Lake Darling! The home was beautiful, very clean, and the bonus is that it is on the chain of lakes near Alexandria! Sheila was very accommodating and was available to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property!

Nice location in chain of lakes. Property had plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. Deck and grill ideal to spend time in the sun. Would have been nice to have more portable chairs for use at the shoreline.

This was a beautiful vacation spot. Large well, equipped home. Love the ease of lake access... no steps to get to the water. Several gathering areas for games. Close to winery and downtown shopping. Would highly recommend this venue.

The owner was very helpful throughout the stay The home is wonderful inside and out. It has large open spaces inside and a large yard in the front and back yard It is located on a lake that is great for swimming, playing, and fishing Plenty of space and beds for our party of 11 Would highly recommend staying there

Perfect vacation!

This place was amazing! Lots of room for everyone to enjoy each other yet spread out for some privacy. Shoreline and water was so clean and well kept up. Sheila was incredible and made sure we were taken care of. Shore is great for little ones too because it’s shallow and makes it easy for wading in the water and playing. Lots of extras too like lily pad for the water, slide in the water, chairs in the garage and even games and toys for little ones to stay busy. The grill is also conveniently located on the patio which made it easy to use. This place paid attention to all the details!

Wonderful Family Lake Home

We had such a great week staying in this lovely home. There were 6 adults, and 6 children, and we had more than enough space to spread out. The kids especially loved the bunk room upstairs! The kitchen was beautiful, and stocked with everything we needed. The backyard was huge, and we loved having so much space for the kids to play! The water was very shallow off the dock, and the kids loved the slide and Lilypad! Sheila was very responsive to any message, and she sent thoughtful messages to ensure we had everything we could possible need. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home with wonderful space!

We recently completed a week long stay! From the beginning of communication with Sheila, it was amazing! She provided all necessary details regarding the property, the ease of arrival details and entering the home. Once in the home, we found it to be clean, organized and has many wonderful features that we enjoyed and appreciated. The space in the home is excellent, providing for privacy (5 bedrooms) and space to congregate as a group (large well equipped kitchen, pool table, beautiful outdoor deck and lake level areas, spacious great room). We also appreciate what we called a caddy shack, where there is a private upstairs area that has 5 beds, a futon, and tv area! This home could easily house 5 couples with still space for children! All in all, would highly recommend staying at this property! Sheila, the owner was amazing to work with and the home is simply exceptional! Would definitely go back!

Stunning home that's perfect for our family vacation!

We love this home. It's gorgeous and perfect for our extended family vacation (ages from 3 - 83). There's plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is fabulous with tons of room for multiple people to prep/cook and everything we needed to prepare large family meals including quality knives (my wife was so happy about this), all the pots and pans, serving dishes, and even 2 crockpots. The bedrooms are large and the beds are extremely comfortable too! The teens enjoyed the "bunk room," the TV setup downstairs, and the pool table. The backyard lovely with a large yard that gently slopes down to the lake. The kids enjoyed playing on the slide near the dock. Plenty of room to run and play outside. Plus, we caught a bunch of sunnies and 2 bass from the dock too! This is one of the best vacation homes that we've booked. Sheila and her husband are delightful. The check-in process was a breeze, and communication was great. 5 star all the way. We will definetly be back.

Wonderful Family Retreat

The Majestic View home in Alexandria was a wonderful location for our extended family to gather. We had 16 persons staying in the home and the size was great for a large group! Plenty of beds, extra pillows, towels, etc. The house has large gathering spaces for the family, but also plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of dishes and everything to meet your cooking needs. There was something for all ages from enjoying the lake view, swimming and boating (we rented a pontoon from Lake Darling Resort), playing pool, hanging out in the hot tub or playing corn hole in the yard. Sheila, the manager, was very responsive with questions and helpful navigating the local area. We highly recommend this home for your getaway in MN!
