First off the carpet was soaked in one large area they had a small heater trying to dry it so why still put us in the room? The jacuzzi?! Horrible, the knob broke off for the cold water so unless you wanted to burn your skin off it was a no go ( this was the only reason we even went ). It was like staying at the bates motel dingy dim and creepy. And it was $200! I've stayed in similar hotels when I was a youngen and was low on cash and $60 would do. Over all just a very unpleasant experience really put a damper on our valentines weekend. We only stayed one night.
TV and Coffe maker in the room did not work. Front desk has no means to replace the broken appliances.
The room was extremely shabby and beat up, beds and sheets have also seen their better days. Furniture was old and felt filthy though nothing was broken. A/C unit was extremely loud and the filter hasn't been cleaned for ages (you could see deposits of dust there). Electrical outlets were also old and insecure. The bathroom hasn't been upgraded for the last decade or so. The towels were OK though. The room was equipped with a small fridge and a microwave. Although I was given a password for the Wi-Fi, none of my devices was able to pick up the network at all (not even a 1 bar of signal). After trying for about 20 minutes I gave up but was too tired to investigate this issue further. The breakfast was OK with some features that you don't find that often at places like this (like fresh apples and bananas and a waffle maker). I didn't expect much for the price I paid but what I got was clearly below any expectations and substantially worse than what you can get at other hotels in the neighborhood (and there are plenty of them in Latham/Colonie area). I would recommend staying away from Golden Circle Inn and Suites in Latham as you can find a much better room for the same price at other nearby locations.
Room was smelly and not very clean or inviting, Made my allergies act up. Glad it was only for 1 night.
my stay at the golden circle was ok. the people are friendly. Hotel wasn't the cleanest.location is good.
The Coca's hotel was substandard in all respects. It was on a very busy, loud, street. The room had a gray ring around the carpet from not being cleaned properly. The bathroom was not clean, the bed linens were old and dated. the tv switcher didn't work, the coffee pot was dirty, and the bathroom towels were folded up wet for reuse. The continental breakfast was cereal, muffins and waffles only and the muffins were in a very dirty plastic contained. The condition of Coca's was very bad.
If you're looking for a 5-star Marriott experience, this is not the hotel for you. If you want a place that's reasonably clean to rest your head, this is a good hotel for the price. My only complaint is that the walls are paper thin, so while muffled, you hear every conversation and TV show in the adjoining rooms.
It was so dirty I can't describe the filch of this place. Holes kicked in the walls, bugs, this place is really bad.
My room was in the "motel" part of the complex. The room was fairly clean. The air conditioner was making a horribly loud metal clanking noise that would have made it impossible to sleep. I called the desk and they offered a refund since they had no other rooms available -- but that wouldn't do me any good since it was already 7PM and I would not be able to find another room. I was the one who came up with the idea for the desk to call one of their other chains to see if a room was available. They called another Cocca's Inn about 3 miles away and they did have a room. This was not much better, the room was filthy and there was only one lock on the door -- not even a safety chain. This air conditioner never shut off and the temperature could not be controlled. All in all, not a good experience at all.
Generally not clean from office/breakfast space to room occupied. DID NOT FEEL SECURE.Soiled bedding. Broken TV remote. TOILET NOT CLEAN. NO towel rack in bathroom. No Kleenex.
The toilet ran all night, the room was not that clean though the sheets were. The bed was very uncomfortable and I did not sleep all night. The staff was helpful but the airport shuttle starts at 6am. My flight was at 5:55am. One person on staff told me to get a cab. Another told me that for a 9.00 charge They would get the driver in early. I had them do this and he was very pleasant and helpful. I paid him 20.00 same as I would a cab but I felt safer. The room was not worth the 75.00 paid, I would pay more to get a good night's sleep.
Looks OK when entering room. No shelf or place for toiletries in the bathroom. No closet for hanging clothes, etc. No remote for TV in the room and staff could not program the one they found. She Handed it to me to figure out which I did upon disconnecting the bad dvd player. Coffee and what they call breakfast is less than average. Could not plug in light because TV and AC were already in the only outlet nearby.
Good location for us. Nice helpful staff. Appearance could be more appealing. I would stay there again.
Stayed for one night but room did not have any heat even though was told by night manager there was central heat.. No thermostat in room. Good thing it only went down to 35 at night. Will not stay there again.
Me and my fiancee needed a night away with no kids. My work Christmas party was on a Saturday night and we both needed to be attending to things in opposite direction first thing in the next morning. So, instead of worrying about driving after the party, we put a last second reservation in for an overnight stay for their Jacuzzi room. Convenience was great, the room was a bit dated but very nice. And, the jacuzzi was very nice - jets weren't overpowering, etc. Would definetly think about staying for another "get away" night.
We were unable to rent a car from the air port but I called Cocca's and they did have a van pick us up. We had to climb stairs to our room and the carpeting on the stairs was filthy. The carpeting and walls in the room were also dirty. Wall paper was coming off the wall over the A/C unit. They didn't have a hair dryer in the room. When I called the clerk on duty, he didn't know where the hair dryers were and told me to call the next day. The next day I went to the office and asked for a hair dryer and told them I was very disappointed with the room. They brought me a dirty hair dryer and moved us to another room that was much cleaner. They did not have security locks on the outside entrance doors. They were left open 24 hrs which was a little scary to me. Anyone off Rt 9 (a busy hwy) could walk right in. I would not recommend this hotel.
This is a pretty clean and comfortable hotel that's very close to the airport.
good sleep for a low price. Included small fridge and microwave which was a plus
we checked in went to the room and the room stunk to high heaven of mold and mildew. Did not stay, left and found a different hotel to stay at. Would like our money back.
I slept in a room with two beds, booked for two nights. The sheets in one of the beds were dirty - they had crumbs of food in them. When one of the staff went to get new sheets out of a closet across the hall, the inside of the door was covered in graffiti and was falling apart. The floor of the room was filthy, the bathroom had yellow stains on the ceiling, and the shower didn't have good pressure or enough jets. It was extremely hot in the room, and the only way to control the temperature was to jump up to close the heating vent, though the one in the bathroom could not be closed. The door did not have a peephole, and I'm lucky they didn't throw my stuff out of the room because when I returned for my second night, my key card didn't work - apparently they thought I was only staying one night. I would have canceled my reservation and gone to a better hotel up the road if I wasn't going to be charged a full night's stay just to cancel it. I was hoping to save some money after flying across the country for a short trip to see friends, but I should've spent the extra $20/night to stay anywhere else.
