Weird stay... got woken up by an ambulance lights and noise in front of my room at 4AM. Don't know what happened.
The night host was very friendly and helpful. Nice to see a smiling face willing to help.
The property is old and in need of maintenance. Dirty outer halls and staircases. Cigarette butts littered the walkways. Not impressed!

Booked this at the last minute for a festival. While the front desk was very helpful, all 3 rooms smelled like old cigarettes. Linens were low quality and carpet had a sticky, chemical feel. Outdoor swimming pool was clean, but very crowded. Breakfast was tolerable.
Upon check-in, I noted the room was not clean and the bathroom had apparently not been cleaned at all. The toilet had what appeared to be feces on the seat and my family would not use it. I called Orbitz who was kind enough to get my room changed. Of course expecting better I found it clean but.....it smelled of mildew. Not Good. I was only there a couple of days so I hung in there. I would recommend that ORBITZ remove this Day's Inn from the list of choices in Akron..
Decent room, bathroom could use some repairs. Water pressure was amazing.
So pleased with proximity to Kent State-THRILLED with price. Excellent value for a pet friendly, decent accommodation.
Courteous staff. Middle of the road furnishings but fine for short term stay.
I asked for a non-smoking room but got a smoking room and the front desk clerk would not answer the phone to move me. He had the worst Bo I've ever smelled
Nice landscaping and pool but the room had maggots and bugs. I pulled out the chair at the desk and it was full of crumbs from a previous guest.
Friendly staff. Room could use some air freshener. Upgrade to iron box and board also recommended. Overall good value for money.
