This is a great place to stay if you are flying from Geneva airport early or arriving late. Really easy to get to the french side of the airport from here (especially for the car hire which can be tricky to locate!) Restaurant serves good food. Staff are friendly. Not great for small children, there are no cots available and our 7m old found it easy to escape the high chair at dinner. If leaving early make sure you take a note of the gate code as there is no one to ask at 5am!
Rooms are not big, but sufficient. Coffee and tea facilities. Bathroom with shower. Close to Geneva, went there on bike for three days. Breakfast in the hotel is good. Dinner was ok as well with some daily specialties available. In the first evening wifi was not available.
We stayed here for one night in order to be close to the airport and was much cheaper than anywhere in Geneva. The lady at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was on the small side but clean. We ate at the restaurant in the evening, which was reasonable value. I had fig pasta and my wife had a ham and cheese pizza. The portions were filling and there was a good selection for the dessert buffet, although they were running very low on a number of them. Overall fine for a stopover before flying home.
Close to the border. Easy check-in. Room was reasonably clean and comfortable. It had air conditioner in the room which was a bonus since it was hot days. The wifi was also fast. Recommended to stay here if you drive and are looking for a hotel close to Geneva but cheap.
I ended up staying at the Campanile as prices in nearby Geneva were astronomic and even with a hire car to go back and forth it was a cheaper option. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Check-in was relatively slow but that was only because the poor receptionist was also the bar keeper and general dogsbody. The room was relatively spacious and was clean. The bathroom was well lit and was provided with 'omniwash'. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked - what more do you expect in this price range? How's about tea and coffee making facilities (which were welcome) and a sizable 'desk' area where it's possible to work. The WiFi was good too. There are heavy metal blinds on the windows rather than curtains but these did a fantastic job of keeping the morning sun out, and helped reduce the noise from people passing in front of the room during the night. Location wise, the hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the centre of the town. Buses run back and forth from the town to the airport (Route Y) and beyond (Route F) into Geneva (but beware, they don't run on public holidays).
Rooms are pretty ok. Communal areas need refurbishing, a lick of paint and new carpets mainly. Location for catching an early flight to Geneva is unbeatable, even more so if you have a car to return to the French part of the airport. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is so so. Ferney Voltaire have a few decent restaurants and is nice to walk around for a bit if you fancy. Have stayed here twice, will definitely stay again.
the floor was disgusting. The restaurant was mediocre. the waitress was very nice. the waiter was rude and insulting. the bathroom was not very clean at all. there was no place to charge my electronics. I had to unplug the lamp. the TV was tiny and the bed was not very comfortable.
We came late to the hotel and we were surprise it was quite cosy and with basic needs. Wish we can stay longer to explore the places around but we only have one night stay. Atmosphere was good and views was beautiful. However the staff was not really that friendly when attending to us, we have pay extra 2 euro on the spot for city tax.
We stayed here several years ago, and what I can remember was a good motel, but this time was not so good actually it needs some renovation, it was old and it smells old and humid. It was clean but I certainly expected something better. Breakfast was just ok. The positive part is that it is close to the French rent a car return in Geneva airport.
We had a family room with 4 beds at the first floor under the roof. The main problem was that the roof window could not be opened and the air conditioning was not working, so not too much fresh air in the room. In addition the overall condition of the building and the carpet were visibly old. On the plus side, cheap price for the average in the area and secured park in front of the room. Essentials and acceptable for a night before the flight or for a late arrival.
