Room was 2star. Poor AC.bad lighting in bathroom.Exterior noise makes it impossible to sleep. Also no breakfast was offered. For the noise problem I do not recommend. Also pre paying on Expedia is a bad idea. We lost Over $300.
You can walk anywhere in downtown from here and the Fair is close by. The park across the hotel is great and quiet. The rooms are spacious and very well-kept! Friendly staff! Breakfast isn't the best but it is good enough! Wish they had a roof swimming pool though!
I had the blessing to presenting at this hotel for women entrepreneurs. During my international tour, I have visited many hotels, but this one captivated my heart. Each of the 9 suites is uniquely designed and it exudes a different type of energy. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel with charm and convenience combined with luxury.
I decided to stay one night just to get away and be near la Féria de San Marcos, I must say this hotel is very beautiful and clean! The only downside was the noise outside but I'm sure it's more calm when the Féria isn't going on. I would def consider staying more days next time. The workers are extremely helpful and very nice! 5 stars well deserved! :)
We stayed at this beautiful home that has been converted to a boutique hotel, based on a recommendation by a friend who grew up and lived in Aguascalientes before moving to Canada. It is truly luxurious. We stayed in one of the suites, consisting of a living room and large bedroom and bathroom. The location is walking distance from the main square and cathedral downtown, and is across from lovely square. The front desk person speaks English and is very knowledgeable about things to do and places to go in the area. Continental breakfast is included. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the beautiful city of Aguascalientes.
The hotel is beautiful and its location is great! The staff is friendly and the continental breakfast good... but that's where it stops. The rooms are directly off the main lobby and you can hear everyone coming and going in the lobby. Slamming of doors and everyone's conversation at check in/check out. The doors to the rooms are thin and not at all sound proof. We were in the Aqua Clara Suite. The room was freezing cold because they have no heat - only AC. The windows are single-pane and allow a ton of street noise into your room... not to mention that the hotel is surrounded by nightclubs that blast their music from 9PM until 2AM. You can feel the vibration of the bass while laying in the bed - it even shakes the window and walls! The amenities in the room are just ok. The extra sitting area seemed to be wasted space and not very usable or practical. There is no WiFi in any of the rooms - only a weak signal in lobby. The dorm-room refrigerator seemed newer, but sounded like it was on its last leg and grinding itself into a slow death. We had to unplug it. The bed was hard and the bedding was a cotton-polyester mix - no down comforter or pillows to speak of and the bedspread was old and snagged and in need a good dry cleaning. We asked for an extra blanket and they gave us a hot pink, double-sized blanket for a king-sized bed! But better than nothing. The bathroom was nice, but unfinished. There were gaps around the jetted tub that water would run into when taking a shower and you could see and smell the mold. There was dried paint all over the floor and water damage to all the walls - but think it was nice that they provided ONE bathrobe for us to share? The lights would take turns turning themselves on and off - so guess it went hand-in-hand with the disco next door! I could generally overlook all these "issues" with our room - but the noise from the nightclubs surrounding the hotel on all sides door was unacceptable! I asked the management to move us to another room and they declined, saying that the only room they had available was booked for the next night. They did not offer any type of compensation or even much of an apology. So if you are considering this hotel, I would take into serious consideration the amount of noise you will be subjected to... it's not a quiet, relaxing place as one might think or hope for on your vacation. I would continue your search!
Lovely boutique hotel. Delicious breakfast, very clean, quiet yet walking distance from everything. there were a few misunderstandings that were quickly corrected. Very attentive staff, went far and beyond to accommodate our requests.
We just spent a great weekend at this cute, comfortable, family run hotel. It is right in the center of San Marcos in front of the beautiful park that is the heart of this area. Our room was huge, very clean, and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel feels like a fancy Mexican home. We were in walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, and churches. We will definitely stay here when we return to Aguascalientes!
Truly the best place to spend a weekend with friends and family in Aguascalientes! The hotel is located in front of the Jardin the San Marcos, an emblematic sight seen of the city, and the streets around have a magnificent night life, full of restaurants and bars. The house, which is now the hotel, was built at the end of XIX century making it a place to visit!
When travelling I always look for a family-run business providing character and service from staff who really want you to enjoy your stay. After all, a bland multi-national hotel will give you a predictable stay with nothing else. Here, we got a warm welcome from start to finish, experiencing typical Aguascalientes kindness where they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and nothing is too much trouble. We had a suite with a really comfortable bed and a sofa in the lounge which they converted to another comfortable bed. Bathroom was huge and everything worked ! It was chilly (January) but they provided electric heaters if required (we didn't use them). The rooms had impressive chandeliers and nice old furniture . Other rooms in the lovely hotel had amazing interior design and the upstairs suite has a terrace overlooking the large tree-filled park of El Jardin de San Marcos outside. Breakfast is just a basic continental one but there are plenty of other places locally within a short walk if you are hungrier. This city is great for wandering about on foot with museums, churches, plazas and cafes reminding me of a typical city in Southern Spain. Parking is either outside if you can find a space or in a nearby secure car park (chargeable). Internet wi-fi only really works in the large charming lobby which has sofas and chairs to lounge in . The owners are working to improve that situation though as they know that you and I have to have a good internet connection even when away from home (sadly)! All in all a perfect stay . Very much recommended .
