It is a simple hotel, nice, but not fancy. Leisure Business Class category, with excellent location on the North side of Aguascalientes city, just in front of a nice mall and in a main commercial avenue. In the front desk I didn't have a very good experience, bad attitude from the manager in turn who refused every request I made. Check in and check out process was simple and pretty fast. Rooms are small and comfortable, being a Leisure Business class hotel, you find the minimum in this room, with free Wi-Fi, but not enough power outlets for devices or mobile phones. Pool area is small but pretty enjoyable and peaceful, and there is a jacuzzi area that can even be reserved for private use. The restaurant's buffet was average, poor variety and not very good taste. We were in for the New year's bowl. The event room is nice, with enough space for around 250 people. There's a small gym area, but good enough for a quick exercise routine. Price is a little high for the quality of the service you get.
I arrived yesterday, my company prepaid the room and I had a copy of the payment. The arrogant staff said my room was not paid for and after several minutes of bickering, I called my company, they in turn talked ot the front desk staff who double checked....and found that it was indeed paid for. They did not apologize for the grief they caused me and gave me the key to a room. I went to the room and discovered that the next room room was being remodeled and loud banging noises were coming from it. I went back to the reception. They were still in their arrogant and defiant mode...after more arguing, they reluctantly moved me to another room. The climate control does not work (I am still here) the shower curtain rail is broken. Also, the wifi is very patchy and does not work at all in the pool area. I have stayed here before but it has never been this bad. i DO NOT RECCOMMEND and will not stay here again
I stayed one night. The room is old, a/c is a bit old and makes noises, pillows and mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The rooms have a no smoking policy but they smell like cigarette. Pool was dirty (leaves, bugs, etc). Food was not good. I'm sure that it was a good hotel many years ago. Location is GOOD!
Over average hotel. It has all the usual amenities: private bathroom with hot water, coffee maker, tv, cable, safety box, free wifi in the room... at a reasonable price. Also, it is located near a big mall and supermarket where you can find anything that you need.
July 11, 2017 was my second time to spend the night at this hotel. Each time it was for a business trip. Unfortunately, that meant I did not get to go for a swim and even use the Jacuzzi (indoor spa). However, my room did have a great view of the pool and magnificently landscaped grounds - definitely an oasis inside the city. For business purposes, I would prefer a few more electrical outlets - I had to unplug the coffee maker to charge my cell phone or use my computer. Also, there was no electrical outlet at the nightstand, so I had to plug my cell phone (which I used as my alarm clock) across the room. Also, the hotel is located at least 30 minutes from the airport (more during heavy traffic hours). If you want a hotel near the airport, stay at either the Hampton Inn or the LQ Hotel (each adjacent to the new Nissan manufacturing facility).
I visited Aguascalientes's for the first time. The location is far from the Fair (Feria), but a short cab or uber ride will get you where you need. The hotel was nice. The pool was clean and maintained. The staff was polite. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious. The dinner was good but if you are at the fair you have so many good options. They have an outdated playground but it kept my 4 year old entertained. Across the hotel is a shopping center within walking distance which was nice to go to. Room was clean and comfy.
Good service, clean and pretty good installations. They have a swimming pool ( a must in Aguascalientes) and Jacuzzi. If you don't mind to stay a little bit far from the historic downtown and San Marcos festival this is the place.
The Los Trojes Hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from Altaria Shopping Center which is the most popular shopping center in Aguascalientes and there is walmart supermarket nearby. The hotel consist of a 2 story building with a pool in the back side of the building. The lobby is spacious and clean and has good service. Breakfast is american style breakfast wihich is above average with different varieties of dishes to choose from. I still prefer the Marriott Hotel breakfast which is more expensive, but excellent in quality, especially their ham is great!!! The rooms are of standard size and good for business traveler, but for a family of 3, the beds are a little small to share with a child. You should ask for a folding bed for your child, but you need to confirm this with the hotel at the time of making a reservation at this hotel. Overall rating is above average. I have stayed 3 times over the weekend as I drove my car from Zacatecas to Aguascalientes which is about 1hr. and 15 min. traveling around 120 kilometers per hour on the federal highway. I recommend this hotel for travelers.
This is a nice hotel for a business trip, as it has all you need (e.g. iron in the room, early breakfast, good internet connection). Additional facilities include an outdoor pool and a gym. The breakfast is very complete. The only negative point is that the rooms can be somewhat noisy, especially when the guest next-door uses the shower.
I've stayed twice and loved it both times. The staff was great, they always made us feel welcomed. The rooms are kept clean and tidy. The pool and surrounding grounds are kept up immaculately. I visit the city once a year and I will definitely stay here whenever I visit.
