So today is my last day here, the hotel isn’t actually too bad. You get what you pay for. It’s walking distance to everything but taxis are cheap so we be lazy. It’s quite dark in the rooms as lighting ain’t too good, the balcony is nice. The room service is 10/10. Breakfast is 0/10. Stale breakfast. Wouldn’t recommend it. We paid for 7 days but only had it one day. Maccies is nearby and there’s also food shops local by. They are currently reconstructing the hotel. We’ve been woken up every morning at around 7 am with drills banging into our walls. The pools quite dirty so we didn’t even try it. Lounge area is cute. One of the lifts always gets stuck you end up with a wall in front of you which is kind of scary. Anyways the hotel can pass for a cheap holiday.
Walking into this room felt like I've been kidnapped and ready to be killed. The bathroom had mould all over the roof and the towels were on a state of disgust, the toilet paper holder was rusty and they still had toilet paper in it and it was one of those that go over the paper. The receptionist knew the state of it and I still got it, when going back to tell them I can't stay in that room they had an evil laugh and said alright here's the keys to another room that was alright. The bed I don't have words to describe ( see pictures ) The state of it was horrible, you wouldn't stay even if it was given for free. Last but not least the breakfast wasn't that much there were no eggs which is something that has to be for breakfast, at least for 4 days there was none, a bit of cheese and salami, baguettes and orange juice no tea or coffee.
With an active holiday in mind, we wanted a cheap hotel; just a bed and a shower, and that's what we got. If you are looking for a hotel where you want to hang around and relax, this is not the hotel for you. NOTE: There was a renovation going on in some rooms, so the experience could be better in the future. Good: Very cheap, close to the beach, balcony with a nice view, nice pool area, friendly staff, no bugs or insects. Bad: Damp and chilly room (also the linens and towels were damp all the time), wifi worked very poorly in the room, bath tub got filled with water when showering, wich was very nasty.
I have booked one room with one double bed and once arrived, i was supprised that only one room available and with two seprated beds, the reception is not organized at all, for me this hotel does not even deserve 3 starts ! Nasty rooms, very old equipements, no bed covers, reception and assistance disorganized, i have canceled the rest of my night and changes to a better hotel.
The stuff are extremely nice and helpful and the room was recently painted. The towels were clean but still a little wet, which gives some discomfort. In room we had a spare blanket and set of pillows. Those are all the positives I can give. Two floors are being currently renovated and it was really loud, but only during the day, otherwise it was nice. The bathroom and the toilet were extremely dirty, so make sure to bring flip-flops when showering!
I booked online to stay at the Adrar Hotel in Agadir 3 weeks before my visit. On arrival, I was ignored at reception and kept waiting 20 minutes before check in. But then it got worse - despite my confirmed booking, they had no room for me, I was told to wait 1 hour to see if anything became available. When I said no, they found me a room quickly. I went up to the room along dingy concrete corridors only to find the beds had not been made. The chambermaid 6 rooms away basically told me to make the bed myself as she was too busy elsewhere to help. I complained to reception who then found me another room - the key card never worked but there was also a hole in the room door which you could see all the way into the room from the outside passage.....I put up with this horrible hotel with rude unhelpful staff for 2 hours in which time I had found a far superior hotel up the road. I checked out of the Adrar Hotel, got a full refund and got out of there quickly.....I spent 2 hours of my life there so you don't have to.....don't make the same mistake.
While we arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m. the room was not ready. The cleaning ladies only took garbage, mop the floor without changing the water and use the air freshener. We had to ask politely to change the bed sheets. I can only assume they change the bed sheets rarely... Also we did not received fresh towels and we had to ask for it few times. The wifi did not worked in the room and in the reception was very poor. Breakfast not satisfying - we could see that many people came with their own food. Overall the condition of the hotel is very poor - needs proper renovation.
Let me start by stating that I take into account cultural aspects and the fact that it is a cheap hotel. I have stayed at many hotels in different countries but this one is in top 5 of the worst ones. Imagine that the hotel orders some building works on the tennis court at midnight!!! Workers taking down a wall with some heavy machinery. How ridiculous is that...The only positive thing is the staff which is quite polite.
We got a double-room at Hotel Adrar Agadir for 3 nights for under 800 dirham. This was very cheap so we didn't expect fireworks or anything with it. The staff is SUPER NICE, they are so kind and helpful. Our first night we met one of the receptionists, he called himself Mr. Problem, and was a real treat. He was helpful with taxi-prices, restaurants and locations that we needed. Big thumps up to him! The room was fine. Old-school, nothing new and fancy, but a cozy place to live in for a couple of days. The breakfast was very basic. There was white bread, cakes, morrocan veggie-lasagna (we think), fruit, jam, coffee, tea, pancakes and you could buy (for 10 dirham) and omelette made on spot. The hotel has a good location not far from the beach and the promenade, and not that far from the big souk market. In the same floor as the reception there is a small 'morrocan disco' I guess. Live-music, shisha and happy morrocan people. We stayed there for one night and took it all in, such a fun experience. Try a shisha here , it's so good and very cheap! Recommended for people travelling without the highest expectations to hotel-quality and just need a room and some nice people to guide you though the day :-)
They gave us a choice of two rooms with sea views, but we chose a quiet room which overlooked the pool and gardens which were very pleasant. The room was very dated and tired but then considering the cheap price we paid was reasonable. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty to eat, but more importantly the hotel was walking distance to a great beach and lots of markets, souks. We stayed an extra night before leaving for the airport early which was very reasonable about £20 !
