I enjoyed my stay at the Golden Beach Appart Hotel from the 25th May until the 1st June 2019 with my children aged 11 and 12. I liked the Moroccan style decor of the building as this gave it a certain charm and homely, comfortable feeling. The hotel staff are an absolute credit and are always helpful. There was one night where a family in the room above was making a lot of noise with their shoes and I went down stairs and the staff on duty helpfully called up to the room and so the problem was sorted. The cleaners attend every single day to check whether you need your apartment to be cleaned and towels are changed daily. There is complimentary soap and shower gel. The restaurant food is delicious and the catering staff are sweet, charming and helpful. My son enjoyed the burger and chips, my daughter the pizza and we all thought the chicken Tagine was delicious. We had an amazing breakfast on the first morning that consisted of; 3 x fresh orange juice, 3 x hot chocolate, 3 x fried eggs, a basket of bread, pastries, olives, soft cheese and Moroccan flat bread all for around 11 Dinar, which is about £8. It would be difficult to find such a delicious breakfast at this price in London. The pool is always clean and wonderful, both myself and my children really enjoyed the pool and the chance to cool off. The lifeguard is polite and lovely and always ensures the pool area is kept clean and safe. My room was 312, and it was spacious and comfortable, and had a kitchenette that had all the basics to prepare breakfast and a few lunch and dinner meals, although we did eat about 50% of the time in restaurant. Next to the hotel there is a small shop where you can stock up on some basic items, eggs, bread, juice, water, biscuits, oil etc. The shop keepers at the hotel were so lovely and helpful, and even took the time to show me how to top up my Moroccan sim card with credit as it is totally different to how we do it in the UK. Golden beach is just a stones throw away from the beautiful beach, and there are plenty of shops just a short stroll away. You can take a taxi to Marjane which is the big supermarket for about 10 dinar which is less than a pound in an orange taxi and about 20 dinar back with your shopping. There are always plenty of taxis available, I always just asked up front what the price would be to avoid any miscommunication. I enjoyed taking a walk along the beach in the early morning and looking out for the vendor that sells fresh fruit at an absolute bargain. There is plenty of excursions available from Agadir and plenty of things to do in Agadir also. We took the trip to Paradise valley for the day, with the tour of the Argan centre, lunch and fresh fruit included and also the tour of Agadir. You can ask the hotel staff about day trips and activities. The hotel is situated in a tourist district and so there are many people only a short walk from the hotel who are offering to sell you things. Normally you can just politely decline and they will walk away, sometimes you might have to say no thanks a few times. However this reflects how hard working the locals are and they are very business minded as they have to work hard to make a living. Overall I had a wonderful stay at Golden Beach and it was the lovely base to relax and explore the region of Agadir. I would return to Golden Beach and I would recommended this Appart hotel. I wish all the hotel staff well and thank you for making my stay enjoyable.
Stopped here for one night on way back from taliouine. Situated close to beach, on main tourist strip, easy to find, we were welcomed to a bright, clean lobby. Rooms are clean, and quite well equipped. Pool area is fab as large pool, plenty of loungers, towels and toilets. Breakfast was very good.
Booked this hotel based on former reviews from tripadvisor. Booked the luxury suite but was very outdated with a bathroom and shower in very old and poor condition. The balcony chairs needed to be replaced 6 years ago and the kitchen was not inviting to use. I was very disappointed because for this price not a positive experience. A plus is the hotel staff who were friendly.
Friendly staff, good service, rooms need a little TLC but clean and spacious. There is a handy little market just around the corner of the main entrance.Beach is 5 min walk and all the clubs and restaurants 15-20min walk.
Hotel was nice, but staff was really special - people make the places. Thank you very much Jihane! You are wonderful - we loved all your recommendations, you made our trip more special! Thank you for everything :)
Stayed here for four nights with the family. Price wise it is ok but like everything in this part of the world things need doing. Found one of the balcony doors wouldn’t lock, while the pool area needed some TLC. The safety deposit box didn’t work either. Food by the pool was ok and inexpensive. I wouldn’t stay here for a week as I think some of the bigger hotels on the beach would be nicer for the extra money Location is fine, three restaurants just five minutes walk away to the beach while the main road down to the esplanade & marina is 15 minutes away. Enjoyed our stay in Agadir even with the weather being a bit mixed.
Value hotel near the beach. Our room was clean and roomy. It was very quiet. We are glad we didn't stay intown. The staff were extremely helpful and helped us book a camel ride at a good price as well asa trip to the Argan Palace for a Hammam. The room came with a balcony. The hotel offers a restaraunt as well as there being 3 more almost across the street on the beach. I would definately stay here again.
Hotel is just another hotel in a resort town. That said 8t's a fine place. Pools and layout is great for bringing small kids; rooms are spacious, well laid out, and clean; staff is friendly and helpful; and location works well
We have stayed in this "hotel" in July. Booking.com has advertised this property as a 4 Star Hotel - this isn't a starred property at all. The bathroom was in an absolute state - photos below attached. I have stayed in hostels that had better conditions. It's been 7 weeks since we have returned and I am still awaiting a refund for being scammed by both the hotel and booking.com into thinking this is a 4 Star Hotel. Mind you, when you arrive the property itself doesn't even advertise themselves as 4 Star so i do not have a slight idea how they can scam people into booking it. So disappointed isnt even the word, view overlooking an empty field, rusty and bent clothes horse, burnt sockets, kettle that wasn't working and our shampoo has not been replenished for the 7 days we were there at all. The showerhead and the fixture on the wall were both broken, each one of us including my 60 year old mother got hit as it kept falling off during the showers.
We stayed here for a week, and were very content with our stay. What we especially liked was that the receptionist was always smiling and ready to help us with our questions. The restaurant was always open and provided fast room service. Breakfast buffet was excellent and totally worth 50 dirhams. The pool was nice and a necessity since we definitely didn't feel like swimming at the beach since it was occupied by locals wearing very covering clothing. The beach is perfect for walks during the night, but if you want to get some sun, then the pool is your place. The pool boys were friendly and helpful as well. The only downside at the pool was the loud music. Also, our neighbors were somewhat too loud, and we needed to call reception about the noise at midnight, but then it calmed down. When in Morocco, something always needs fixing, and so was the case also in this hotel, but it didn't bother us since the handyman always came promptly and fixed things. We also felt safe leaving our valuables in the room. The safety box costs extra, which felt like a ripoff, and also the downstairs store has very high prices. However, it was still nice that it was there since we ended up getting a lot of stuff there as there are no bigger supermarkets close by. However, the location was convenient because of the proximity of beach and the amazing "Pirate" restaurant. Also the little train goes right in front of the hotel. The kitchen of our apartments was too basic for us to really cook anything, but eating out was ok due to affordable prices. Don't order pizza at the hotel restaurant though. The pizzas were very basic. Even though mine was called "four cheeses" I am positive it had maximum two cheeses.
