Had a great experience at this hotel everything was in order rooms very clean people super friendly and the food was really good a great selection for breakfast and the restaurant for dinner a lot of different options to suit everyone the place is very clean and there is a pool guy called Simon he is great with the kids he make every one feel welcome
Booked a package deal b & b on a budget, hotel rating states 4 star in my opinion it's a 2 star, breakfast is less than standard breads drink salad and if you want a omelette chef will make for you, in all honesty we skipped breakfast for the 5 days here and ate out. Hotel I assume is in line with Moroccan styling quite old fashioned and dated not the type of hotel I would choose to stay in again. On arrival told i would have to pay tax for my duration here 12.76DH PP on a whole rooms are cleaned daily not bad for what you pay. Tv in room is great but unfortunately no english speaking channels. Wi-Fi is available and free to use best signal is in the lobby you can get signal in rooms on the 4th floor but its tempremental. If you are not having your meals in the hotel directly across the road there are places to eat cafe pizza hut chicken and Indian, out the hotel and to the right on the left had side about a 3 min walk there's a MacDonald, out the hotel and left there are a row of convinence shops continue to the end of the road and turn left there are some local fast food eatery shops (not bad we ate there quite a lot) based on 2 adults eating at local food shops 85DH (£7) if you continue along this stretch of road cross the road walk down some stairs you will find more food shops walk a bit further and to the right continue straight on the right hand side and left hand side you can find decent food we had the best pizza and spat bowl cost no more than 150DH including soft drinks for both.
Well what can I say x Booked this hotel on the reviews and the so called kids club and kids pool advertised. We have just returned October Half term quite a few kids there but no entertainment for them - the old people moaned if the kids made a splash jumping in the pool and the so called kids pool was closed. Nightime it was like a mortuary with nothing to do so went to bed. Breakfast is great if you are happy to eat bread and olives. Hotel is old and dated and really needs a revamp, The staff try there best but really they a fighting a loosing battle.
The location of the hotel is lets say acceptable. That was with the positives for Argana. As a traveler i have only two demands to the hotels-sleeping quality and decent breakfast. Unfortunately this hotel cannot provide this to the clients. We have had room in 4th floor with view to the ocean and the second room was on the first floor with view to the pool. In the first room the noise from the club next to the hotel was until 4 am - absolutely not acceptable. In the second room the noise from the internal bar with karaoke and live singers was until 2 am. The breakfast was just bad. I cannot understand how is it possible to have mostly Europeans clients and to offer breakfast like this.Lack of variety of cheese, cold cuts, yogurts, serials, bakery, vegetables, even boiled eggs ware not offered. On some days the finished items ware not replaced and the only available food at 9 am was baked tomatoes, cooked rice, tomatoes, cucumbers and one kind of salami. The dinner was a bit better but still nothing special. And the other annoying issue - smoking is allowed almost everywhere in the hotel - at the reception, lobby bar, pool, rooms, corridors. Sorry but with al this issues i cannot recommend this hotel.
Great location for most things. You have a McDonalds across the road and about a three minute walk to the right. You have the promenade which is a left turn out the hotel and then a left turn down the road at the bottom u go right and then down a set of steep steps. At the bottom here u turn right and u keep walking and u will see the other MacDonalds as well as it leading to the main promenade. At the end is where the marina is as well as shops like Zara. The total walk to the marina can be about 45 minutes. The market souk all haad is about a 15 minute taxi ride. In the day time ask for the meter. It will be maximum 15 dirham's. Maximum in red taxi is three people. Ask to be dropped at gate 10 one of the better gates for entry and pickup. Bargaining is essential at the market. Hotel is more three star than four star. For families it's fine if u have older children 7/8 plus. But if u have younger smaller children it might be better to go somewhere a little better. But otherwise hotel is OK.
I visited this hotel for afternoon coffee and cake and was amazed at the customer service I was attended to swiftly and cordially and I salute this place The coffee was good and the gateau was mouth watering Ample staff waiting to please you
My only complaint music around the pool area; don't understand the need for music as people like to snooze, read, listen to their own music or like me have a massive hangover; and can't tolerate the noise. People did ask for it to be turned off which they did..... Poor quality of sleep was due to a mixture of things heatwave, night clubs and no fault of hotel.
We have stayed in Argana couple of weeks ago for few days. The hotel is very nice (even though some areas are outdated), decorated in Morrocan style which is very lovely. I have to say that hotel as such is very clean and rooms are cleaned to a high standard. Hotel staff make stay here very enjoyable as they are all very friendly and make you feel most welcome. Especially Fahd was attentive and extremely helpful. Food was lovely with good variety. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again with no hesitation. Good location, close to the beach.
Ok I'm going to write an honest review as I always do. We're here now for another week weather is amazing. We arrived late in the evening to be greeted by I think security took our bags immediately felt safe booked in paid our tax went up to room but it was single beds came on holiday for some romance my husband went downstairs and they moved us to a double bed brilliant. We went down for breakfast the next morning it was ok the same every morning but it is continental after all. There is a young girl who will make you an omelette but after a week you do tire of these we asked for some fried ones and no problem. The waiters are simply amazing one especially and don't know his name buts he's a credit to the argana kept calling us family and my husband Ali baba ( due to the beard lol ) we had lots of questions which he answered them all. now on to Fahad this young man was the entertainment for the hotel he talked to everyone around the pool and also remembered names i think this is so important and is another gem from the argana he gave us a lot of advice and we asked lots you can see he adores his job and never left anyone out spoke to everyone. Now on the chamber maids my god they work hard our room was cleaned everyday and this hotel is huge these ladies are simply super it was my husband's 50th she we were there they made the room beautiful made it extra special. Ok now on to the room look it's not 5 star but its comfy and clean with what you need in there to. The food on a night time is also ok the tajines are the best always felt full what more do you want. So overall would I stay again to right I would I felt safe all the time. But I have to say my only negative thing to say is nothing good with hotel or food it's when exchanged my money over at the airport i was given morroco dirahm and a card with cash on but when i went to use it there was not the expected amount on there so we lost money now I know this is not the rep fault but we are in foreign country we didn't know what to do a little more support would not of gone miss. But like I said nothing to do with the hotel. WELL DONE ARGANA YOU SHOULD BE PROUD YOUR STAFF ARE ALL GREAT. THANKS FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY. We're looking to come back next year too so looking forward to another couple of days here.
We loved our stay in Agadir at the Argana. Our room was clean and comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked really well. this hotel has charm, character and fantastic staff. In particular Fahd and Saïd for the constant smiles and great atmosphere around the pool. the maid and the waiter at breakfast made us feel at home and were extremely happy to help whenever we needed anything. Always service with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel.
