Bad experience, everything looks nice in pics, old building needs some remodeling, there was no outlets to charge my phone, there was a dryer but didnt work, couldnt get hot water in the shower, i requested higher level for better view instead they gave me fifth floor so my view was next door building, wasnt happy at all so the only good thing about it was they were able to help me to get my money back for my second night.. bad experience so i will not come back there.. 😔

Terrible service and dirt rooms terrible pools no lights terrible bar no ice

I was disappointed to see the overall state of the hotel. It seemed to me management has overlooked the fact that the hotel needs basic maintenance as time goes by. Meaning, if something breaks or needs to be touched up It just doesn’t get done. Also I was upset by the fact that when I needed a bandaid and ointment I was told the hotel didn’t have a first aid kit but I could see a doctor if I wanted, for an extra fee; right, a doctor just for a scrape?

First of all, it seems like the "suite" is short on staff. I had to wait an hour after check-in time to wait and see if there was a room with a Queen bed available. I had made a reservation for a Queen size bed and the staff gave me 2 individual size beds for my girlfriend and I. I told them I had reserved for a Queen bed and they didn't care much. Once we get to our room, I turn on the AC to find out that it wasn't working properly. The AC was throwing warm air, not cool air. And to top it off, the staff expects you to check-out before or on time even though they took forever to get us a room. In conclusion, Play Suites is not worth your money.

I was there just for relax, to get out from work stress, if hotel offers at least Microwave and a small refrigerator wold be perfect. Price was also a good deal.

everything in the hotel is very old and broken, furniture draws don't open, leaking faucets, uncomfortable pillows. Location of hotel is great.

Food was Good. Service was OK, but everyone wanted to sell you something, and were very persistent. I understand that is par for the course in Mexico. Main issue we encountered was the first night we were put in a room and there was someones luggage in there already, not ours. Ooops! Second, they didn't tell us about the lights. You have to put a key card in a slot on the wall to make the lights work. Checking in and out takes forever (30 to 45 minutes each time), and you need to check out to exit the hotel, you can't just leave like most hotels in the States. They were also not cooperative about our family members visiting us or being in the hotel with us to visit. They gave us grief that my brother wanted to park his car there for an afternoon to hang out with us. Bathroom looked run down, rusted. As did the mini bar area. Beds seemed clean and nice though, comfortable.

I went in Sept of 2012, the weather was HOT & HUMID but clear blue skies and it only rained at 1am every night for about 15 minutes. The room was clean & cleaned every day but had some cosmetic blemishes but nothing to worry about since I wasn't there for the room! The staff was very helpful since I didn't speak any Spanish, there was always one person on staff who spoke fluent English when I need help. The security staff was great at directions & finding taxis and always asked how my day was when I returned. The pool was clean & awesome, Sept is very slow for guest so everyday I pretty much had it to myself. I had the all-inclusive package so food & drinks were included, the drinks were great with lots of options but the buffets each day weren't AMAZING but good enough. Sometimes there were lots of food options & other times not at all but overall it was good food. My package included my gratuity as well but I felt sometimes that the service staff had no ideas even though I had the all-inclusive bracelet on, nothing major but you could tell they were wanting more tips. I did the wave runner trip from the beach guys right off of the hotel and it was awesome & cheap, the isle de morro was so much fun to climb to the top also. Overall in the end, I WILL BE BACK!

Got charged for towels. It seemed like a scam. Unreasonable management.

compare with the condition of the hotle i lived in cancun with the same rate, it's totally down.

GREAT OCEAN SWIMMING, THE OCEAN IS SO WARM. PERFECT WATER TEMPERATURE. BEST NATURAL SPA. LOCAL PEOPLE GIVE THE BEST MASSAGES ON THE BEACH WHILE LISTENING TO THE WAVES. CHECK THEIR HANDS FIRST TO SEE IF THEY HAVE FUNGUS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THEIR HANDS. NEEDS LITTLE "EXTRAS" IN THE ROOMS SUCH AS: HAIR CONDITIONER, BODY LOTION. TOWELS LOOK VERY OLD. DEFINITELY THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BUY NEW ONES. GREAT VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL ROOM.

The view of the Ocean was wonderful and the location was great. You could walk to the open markets and also within walking distance to bars/clubs and a nice selection of places to eat.I purchased the all inclusive before I was aware of what food they offered on there buffet. I would NOT suggest doing this. The food was rather plain. I would have prefered more of a variety with more ethnic items on the menu. Overall for the price of everything, being a "older" hotel I had a nice large room beautiful view and the staff was very friendly. You get what you pay for! After all who goes on vacation to say inside there hotel room!

Great place to stay, this is my fourth trip to acapulco and I have always stayed at this hotel

Suites to a good price with great view over the "bahia" of Acapulco. Everything very clean and the beds in very good conditions for a good deep sleep.

Other than the location the hotel is old and need massive updates. Our junior suite microwave did not work, there was no plates, silverware etc... Some electrical outlets were inoperable. Looking from our balcony you could see other suites that had everything, they were dining in with plates and all. The chairs and lounges on the beech were old and in dire need of repair. The beverage choices on the all inclusive package were very limited. The food is adequate but nothing special. On a lot of nights there were no beverages served where the entertainment was and sometimes you needed to walk to the beech to get a drink even though the music was in the lobby. Some nights the elevators were working only part of the time. An overall rating of one for this hotel is the best I can give.

Our first room was very unsatisfactory, but my husband went down stairs and they were very happy to fix anything we were unhappy with. Weekends were full of people with children, a few more than what we liked.

Our room was great with a full ocean view from the 17th floor and the suite was clean and comfy. We enjoyed the room and hotel itself a lot. It was however agravating and insulting to have to wait in line almost an hour to check in and another hour to check out. The line the breakfast buffet was over a half hour wait for several hours, by 11:30 we decided we did need to eat before the breakfast buffet ended. The food at the buffet was not very tasty. The juice was powdery drink. The bread was stale, some of the hot dishes were not very warm. The coffee was gas station quality. Neither the Mexican nor American food was a credit to its origin. Do yourself a favor and spring for breakfast outside the hotel!

Thank you for your comments, it is a pleasure to serve you. The hotel is in a progressive maintenance and improvement of the facilities. I inform you that I will follow up on the need to have a first aid kit for cases in which you request some medication or essential accessory.
