I have stayed here before and know what to expect and it was still terrible. One of the worst stays I have ever had anywhere. I was so unhappy with my reservation. I stopped into the hotel at 2:15 on my check-in date and asked for a first floor room and was told that I would receive one and that I did not need to come back at 3 PM (check in time) to check in to get that room. I specifically asked if I needed to come back at 3 pm and was told no. This was on 9/20/2025 at about 2:15 pm. I told the clerk that I needed to go to Winters, Texas and that I would return this evening to check in. When I came back around 7:30 PM there were no first floor rooms and I needed one due to mobility. Now I’m stuck with a two night reservation that I can’t cancel because I booked through Expedia and this is making my life incredibly difficult. Also there are 2 microwaves in this room and one is sitting on the spot meant for a suitcase so it is very inconvenient because my suitcase has to sit on the floor and it’s difficult for me to maneuver. This hotel has bad parking lot lighting and not much parking in the back which is, of course, where my room is. If I wasn’t so tired, I would just eat the cost and go to a hotel with an elevator. Staff will not do anything to accommodate any issues. It’s clear they don’t care and the manager doesn’t care and there is no one at a higher level that cares either. I’m in Abilene a lot for work. I will never stay here again.
