Hillcrest Motel

You're getting what you pay for.

In need of a cheap place to flop for the night? This will definitely work. Don't confuse "breakfast" to be anything akin to what you'd find at the typical hotel breakfast; 100% cold, simply didn't work with my dietary requirements, and frankly, this was what sold me on this vs. the other motel in town. Oh well. Staff was never behind the front desk, probably off dealing with other chores, not a gripe just an observation. Deadbolt on the room door was broken...should've mentioned it to staff but was eager to just get out come morning. Multiple folks outside smoking when I arrived; gave it the air of a seedy place but honestly was probably fine; as a former smoker that's what you have to do these days, but it just *felt* a little off. Probably *fine* in the grand scheme of things, but was one of the sketchier motels I've checked into in my years. Single, capable guy? You'll be fine. Single woman traveling? IDK..maybe try another place? I just wouldn't want my daughter checking in here at 11 PM...again...no real reasons, just an impression.
