Honestly I was neither happy nor sad. Nothing bad about the flight, but nothing super great - average, but happy the flights were uneventful and on time, which they should be. I was surprised to learn that I was being charged by AA for seat selection. I have never paid for choosing seats before, either with AA or any other airline. When I re-read and learned that AA would assign a seat for free at the time of check-in, I tried to cancel the transaction through AA, was initially told that he couldn't do anything about it and check with the desk at check in the following day. then on calling abut 30 minutes later, was told that had I called earlier, the transaction could have been cancelled as it had just gone through minutes before the second call. So first AA general support rep not helpful.
