Memphis is an atmospheric city, packed with meaning for music lovers, and proud of its heritage as a cotton city. A must-visit for any Elvis fan is Gracelands, but Blues fans should head to Beale Street, which is the heart of downtown Memphis musical action. Right next to Beale Street is the FedEx Forum, home to NBA Grizzlies games and many other major events. South from Beale Street you'll find the historic district of South Main, where a trip to the Civil Rights Museum is a moving experience. Tom Lee Park is a good place to view the might Mississippi river, or to take a river cruise.
After your flight into Memphis International Airport (MEM), head to terminal B baggage claim to find the taxi rank. You ll also find car rental operators operating within the airport.
