Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) is located west of Greensboro, NC and provides flight services for the Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem area.
The public airport is owned by the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority and it is the third busiest airport in the state, averaging a total of 280 arrivals and departures each day.
The terminal building for Piedmont Triad International Airport was completed in 1982, and it currently has 30 passenger gates with 16 located on the South Concourse and 14 on the North. Both the North and South Concourse are the same exact size even though they have different gate amounts.
The North Concourse operates all flights through Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, and United Express while the South Concourse operates flights through all other airlines including American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, and US Airways.
When you fly to Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), you get to take advantage of the many amenities currently offered as well as those that will be made available in the future.
The airport hopes to provide passengers with a viewing area so that they can watch planes take off and land as they wait board their own flight. There are also plans to construct a new control tower in the future that will cost an estimated 25 million to complete.
