The public airport is owned by the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority and it is the third busiest airport in the state, averaging a total of 280 arrivals and departures each day.
The North and South Concourse
The terminal building for Piedmont Triad International Airport was completed in 1982, and it currently has 30 passenger gates with 16 located on the South Concourse and 14 on the North. Both the North and South Concourse are the same exact size even though they have different gate amounts.
The North Concourse operates all flights through Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, and United Express while the South Concourse operates flights through all other airlines including American Eagle, Frontier Airlines, and US Airways.
