Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the busiest in Egypt and serves as the main hub for local airlines such as EgyptAIr and EgyptAir Express. It is located just northeast of the business region of Cairo. The facility has four terminals, the largest was opened in 2009 with the fourth, a seasonal flights terminal, opened in 2011. Many renovations have been made over the past several years to help make the airport more convenient for the thousands of passengers that pass through Cairo International Airport each day.
