Talk about over delivering! My original thought process was to snag an inexpensive place to rest my head and snag a quick shower while traveling through. What happened was a spark of nostalgia that I have never experienced before. I was brought back to traveling with my family in the 1980s. Not only was this place extremely clean, the customer service and communication was off the charts. I felt like I was experiencing a red carpet roll out. Indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, game room with old school pinball and pool?!?!?! C'mon! I am planning a trip now, just to go back and stay at this location and venture around the Dells. This will always be our stop if we have to drive through again, but now, I am planning a trip to stay a few days. Thank you for over delivering beyond what I thought is possible in 2025. My daughter and I couldn't stop telling everyone about it. One of the highlights of an amazing trip. I mean seriously, who wants to plan a trip just to stay at a motel? Well, for the first time in my 46 years of life, I get to proudly say, "Me!" Highly recommend, even if you consider yourself "fancy" and only stay at the highest end and cleanest hotel chains. I strongly suggest taking a leap of faith and booking this motel.

We booked a 1king room & we were in a seperate complex away from most of the families and children was very pleasant. The property was very clean inside & out. Facilities like pool and whirlpool all worked. Easy check in & out. Walkable distance to downtown broadway strip but far enough away to not hear all the hustle & bustle. Highly recommend.

What a gem! Loved this place!

Wonderfully charming classic motel that has been lovingly maintained and renovated by the same family since 1945. Perfect if you have smaller kids- 2 pools with slides and a small arcade is plenty for kids 12 and under. Close enough to walk to the candy strip, but far enough away that it is quiet at night. A Kwik trip is across the street that has pretty much anything you might need that you forgot. The designated parking spots mean you're not hauling your stuff across a large resort, and though smoking is not allowed in any rooms, you are allowed to walk right out of your door to a table and chair provided to each room. Just let them know and they'll provide an ash tray. Much easier than having to trek across one of the large resorts every hour. They even have a brick barbeque area, and sell charcoal and lighter fluid on site. It's in a covered area that can be used even if it's raining. I just really cannot believe how great this place was for the price. Great for families, friends, meet ups of large groups because the pool and picnic area are centralized. Just really well designed and cared for by multi generational family owners that want people to have a good time at a reasonable price.

This is a real lly good place to stay with kids. They let th kids have fun and ecerything isn’t over-regulated and burdened with rules. Two pools, discounts to a few places and some free admissions to a couple others. Please get new bedspreads, they are old and pilled and need replacing with maybe some fresher color to brighten things in the room. Have stayed here several times.

Overpriced, uncomfortable. We just wanted a nice room and comfortable nights sleep after very long drive. Not what we got at the Black Hawk Motel. Our A/C wasn’t properly working in the room, so our room never felt cool in July. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Very disappointed on the stay with Black Hawk having over 9 star rating with Expedia. I regret booking a room based on the high rating. We will only book at the well known chain Hotels from now on.

This is a very old & large motel. Room had 2-3 steps up to small porch area with no hand rails. Making it difficult to get luggage to room. The room was extremely small. Parking for our room was across the street on a busy road and appeared to be the only unit with street parking. Requested another room due to safety concerns and was told no other unit was available. However, question this statement due to observation of no guests/cars in nearby rooms - which had parking in front of the rooms. Air conditioning was loud and went from cold to warm temperatures throughout the night - making it difficult to sleep. Checkout staff was unfriendly and dismissive. Overall, older motel with small, noisy room, safety issues with steps/porch area with no hand rails and off street parking on very busy road. Positive: room did appear clean and shower area looked to be recently remodeled.

We rented a two-bedroom two bathroom house. The house is very clean and well laid out. Location was a short walk to the north strip in town and right across the street from a QuikTrip gas station. There was an indoor and outdoor pool on the premises. It had all the amenities we needed for our four night stay. I would 100% stay there again if I spent another few days in the Dells in the future.

I enjoyed my stay I like the layout, I felt comfortable and really enjoyed myself thank you. My room was very clean and up to date , my bed was very comfortable. I had a single room with a queen size bed a table to sit at plenty of room for my things I'd like the fact you can open up the windows and the air conditioner works great. And the bathroom and shower very nice.
