Really engaged owner and cool gift shop with local crafts and books. Of course, U2 stayed here years ago and its rustic desert charm still exists. Beds are firm and great for sleeping but you’ll want to wake up early for the sunrise view.

This was the perfect affordable place to sleep before an early morning of getting back on the road. We grabbed dinner at the local diner and coffee nearby in the morning. Quiet town and a safe comfortable place to stay.

Classic old school motel experience. large rooms with kitchenettes, vaulted ceilings, yet enough vintage "vibe" to make the stay unique. Best feature is the large jacuzzi amidst the lovely manicured courtyard, perfect for stargazing. Great amenable host who looks after each guest personally. A welcome reprieve from the Airbnb "same town" experience so much of Joshua Tree has become. Can't wait to stay here again!

We were a little early from our drive from Las Vegas so we thought we'd try to see if our room was available and it was!! Check in was easy and the woman at the front desk (sorry, I didn't catch her name!) was friendly and accomodating. Our room was spacious and the kitchen was equipped with pretty much everything one would need for a short trip. I was especially thankful for the large fan since I like to sleep with one and plus it was cold at night (but hot through the day) where we only needed the fan. Check out was easy too - I just texted that we were leaving and left the keys in the room. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Very nice place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having the full kitchen. The pool area was nice and clean, just a little to cold due to the weather. Would recommend and stay again.

Quite rustic by my standards: polyester sheets & comforter, outdoor patio-type light in bathroom w one plug in its base as only bathroom outlet, except for rubber mat shower floor felt slippery/film, old and less-than-efficient window unit as only AC. We really enjoyed our stay. We were very comfortable in our room, enjoyed the hot tub and siting outside. The territorial views from the pool were great. Why stay at a chain hotel when you can enjoy a smaller space with a homey feel and lovely surroundings.
