Great property with a very friendly host, it is on a dirt road that would likely be difficult to access with a smaller car.

We've stayed at many VRBO properties and this stay was among the best and most memorable. Steve and Claudia are awesome hosts. The sunsets are spectacular and viewing the hot air balloon from the property while sitting on Adirondack chairs is fantastic.

Great location...so peaceful. Charming casita close to all the wineries! There is a section of dirt road, so if it is raining, that might be quite a problem. Would definitely recommend.

4/10 Poor

Denise E., Calgary, Alberta, Canada

My negative review is primarily but not solely due to the horrendous condition of the roads leading up to Stephen's property and certainly his own driveway. Upon arrival he did say he thought maybe he should’ve suggested a rental vehicle with higher clearance (we had a Kia K5). I would NOT have reserved this property had I known about the poor road conditions - especially his driveway. The last 7 minutes before arrival to his property were crazy! The narrow roads, frequently washed out and riddled with ruts, were treacherous! We spent all day away from the property, returning only at night which made this drive even worse. Not once in our travels did we pass a CAR - only pick-up trucks and SUV’s. I’m sure Stephen will defend this drive but also know that he has a pickup truck too. To add to the road issues, it rained during our 6-day visit which only worsened the situation. We also had issues with the shower backing up immediately after turning it on. I did make him aware of this right away, in case no one had notified him of this. His solution however was to provide a jug of bleach. I’m pretty certain septic systems do not like bleach, not to mention that bleach won’t clear the clog. He had said he would go to the hardware store for some drain cleaner but it was never provided to us. There were other maintenance issues in the property itself that definitely needed attention too. Dirty ceiling vents, burnt out lightbulbs to name a couple. For me, this was a dud.
The “dirt road” up to the property.

The Villa is very clean and inviting. We had a relaxing time with a glass of wine and the fountain in the courtyard. The chairs to watch the sunset was also so inviting. I would recommend the location; it is remote and quite, on the top of the hill for beautiful views.

Nice little Casita off the beaten track. Very steep dirt road to get there, Not suitable for a vehicle with very low ground clearance but most vehicles won't have a problem. Quiet place with spectacular views of the valley below.

Little out of the way place

Typical amenities for vacation rental tal were sparce. We only stayed one night. It was expensive for the size. One room with 1 bathroom and kitchenette ( no stove, ice, coffee creamer. Options limited) Had to buy 60 unrefundable travel insurance or 1500 to hold the reservation.

Lovely hideaway in Temecula wine country

We loved our stay at this property. The property was in a good location for us - near the wineries but a bit off the beaten path and away from the crowds. The room was very nice, especially the kitchen and bathroom areas. The outside courtyard was beautiful and inviting. The room had all the desired amenities. The only (minor) criticism would be the bed, which we found to be a bit springy and noisy.Steve was a great host. He gave us our privacy but was very friendly and personable, and extremely responsive and easy to work with when we needed something.I would recommend this property without hesitation to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Temecula.

Dessert Oasis

Steve was fantastic throughout the whole process. We had to switch our dates and he was so kind and helpful. The property was perfect for two people; great/updated kitchenette and bathroom with tile shower. We didn't try out the hotub, but saw a beautiful sunset and of course had to wake up early to watch the hot air balloons rise over the valley. He has two adirondack chairs set up in the perfect spot to go sit with your coffee. He is super close to some great wineries; there is a part of the drive that is dirt road but you should be totally fine. Will defiently book again if we are in the area!

On Top of the World

What an incredible journey this was! I must emphasize the importance of following the owner's directions rather than relying on Google Maps or any other navigation tool. When we arrived, we initially followed Google Maps, which made our approach quite cumbersome. However, once we shifted to the owner's instructions, the experience became far more seamless. The casita was immaculate and exactly as advertised. You truly feel like you’re on top of the world at this property, overlooking the stunning valley below. Each morning, we savored our drinks and a light breakfast while lounging in the Adirondack chairs in the front yard, taking in the breathtaking view of hot air balloons drifting by. It was an absolutely delightful experience. Our only regret was our own doing; due to our plans, we missed the sunset on both nights. I highly recommend making it a priority to be there at sunset—perhaps with a glass of wine in hand.Steve, the owner, was there to warmly welcome us upon our arrival. He was incredibly friendly and accommodating.Overall, this was a perfect stay for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Three days in Temecula

The location of the property is remote but that is exactly what we wanted and exactly what we got. Great views and very quiet. Steve is very nice an accommodating. My only comment is that the kitchen was not as well supplied as I thought it might be but Steve helped with that. Check out Lorenzi Winery. Had some of the best wines we tried. That said did tast the premium wines.

Great Getaway

Steve and Claudia were excellent hosts. Steve gave us great advice on where to go for dinner and which wineries to check out. My wife and I hung out in the front yard with a cup of coffee the following day and watched the hot air balloons. This was a great getaway and we will be back.
