I felt that the room was overpriced.. It was on the ground floor so there was no view. The heating system was incredibly loud and had to turn on very frequently to keep the temperature up. I think it was the worst night sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel room

The lodge is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of cozy areas in the lobby area. The rooms are spacious and the bar area was open and definitely a popular spot. Can't wait to stay again.

What a wonderful property and staff! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed here and also just loved the common areas where everybody was hanging out, playing games, reading books… Such a wonderful place! I left here feeling more relaxed than I have in eons.

The noise isolation is terrible. I could listen my neighbors voice clearly. In addition, the room door key is so easy to pick, security is lame. A terrible breakfast.

Clean, well appointed room. Very comfy bed, large bathroom with lots of towels. The fireplace made the living room very cozy for relaxing on the couch. Breakfast was rather offbeat (chia seed pudding one day, prosciutto and cheese another day), but nice quality items and fresh croissants. Great location close to many shops and restaurants. We would definitely go back again.

The king suite is the perfect accommodations to make for a super spacious and comfortable stay. The location of The Field Guide is also hard to beat, not to mention their hospitality. We will definitely be back!

The noise from the bar was unbearable. Our room is located right over the bar very dated room when we complained about the loud music and asked for a different room. The solution was to give us earplugs. After several complaints after several complaints, they gave us a 20% discount on our room. Very poor experience.

One of the worst check-in experiences - we arrived to find the hotel closed for the night. We called the help number listed on the door, and the woman who answered (erroneously) told us to go to another building. That was also locked, so we called back and had to walk back to the original building. The bartender kindly let us in (thank goodness she was there!) where we found our key. But no map - we had NO idea where to go. We wandered around for a while and tried a door that matched our room number, but couldn't get in. We had to call a third time and found out we were in a different building. All this info was emailed to us around 9:40 (after our arrival!), then texted around 11:30pm (again, after our arrival!). We couldn't get into our actual room because the key was crooked, it took nearly 10 minutes to get in. In speaking with housekeeping the next day, we discovered "that door never works." UGH, why not fix it?! The room was fine, though my advice to the hotel is to work on the standard items (maps and info for guests, working doors, a full-length mirror in your suites, and a light in the bathroom that's bright enough to apply makeup) before focusing on the extras (welcome bag).
