Exactly what we were looking for Hotel has everything in an enchanting area and answered sll our needs. We re already planning our next Stowe weekend and the Golden Eagle is where wéll stay

Needed a place to stay with my husband and it was so cute here. Very nice and friendly

Very friendly staff. Nice room, quiet and good view on a small lake. The pool/sauna is really cool.

Excellent price for a room in downtown Stowe. The location is close to downtown, so you are right by many restaurants and about 10-15 minutes from the slopes depending on traffic. This is a compact resort with exercise & game rooms, pools, an onsite restaurant (good breakfast), etc. The property is a bit dated and rooms are unexceptional but comfortable.

Comfortable, clean, and cute! A very nice getaway!

The hotel resort was very nice it had a lot of extra thing, pool, spa ect. However, the room seem some what out dated. The carpet needs to be change, the bathroom could use an update too. The bed was extreey comfortable.

We had a great time love Stowe and the fact that the hotel was so close to down town. It was low key and worked out well!

We were just passing through Stowe and stayed one night at this hotel The location of the Golden Eagle resort is perfect for a trip to Stowe. The front desk staff are very welcoming and the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby is a nice surprise. We did't have a chance to eat in the restaurant (open for breakfast only) but heard that it was very good. There are no other dining or bar options on site but there are a few places literally next door and across the street. The mediocre rating is because of the room which was quite dated. The decor (wallpaper, furniture, bathroom fixtures) was circa 1980, the carpet was very dirty and the room smelled like disinfectant. We were wondering if perhaps it was a room that had previously allowed pets. There are many lodging choices in Stowe, so I recommend looking around for other options.

We didn't bring our family on this trip, but we are already planning to go back. Thanks so much; we wished we had planned to stay longer.

this place was awsome , rooms was big , lake, game room pool ,

Great hotel 1/2 miles away from the stowe main street. We went there for a quick weekend getaway. The rooms were comfortable, staff very friendly, good amenities. The in house restaurant has great breakfast options. The place is a good buy anytime. Factoring in the price we paid, this is a great buy compared to the other hotels in the area. We would definitely go back to this resort on our next visit to Stowe

the hotel was in close proximity to Stowe Ski Resort. It was about 5 min drive. The room was not the most welcoming hotel room I've seen but for the price it was very much worth it. The staff was very helpful.

This is our 5 time we went to Golden Eagle Resort, the place is great super close from the slopes (Stowe and Smuggler Notch)... The hotel is super clean and the amenities are really good (indoor pool, Gym, the coffee shop and beaty lobby) and the best price for a nice room.... we will go back next week for another ski trip....

This place is clearly geared toward skiiers, as is the rest of Stowe. But if visiting off season, it's a good value and a good central place to stay.

The Golden Eagle has a plethora of ameniities at the facility to keep everyone happy - two pools, great location, nice breakfast restaurant, and great service in every way!

Great romantic get away for the weekend ! Nice club house with hot tub sauna and heated pool all you need to relax after a hard day of skiing or a fun night in.

Not fancy but I award the five stars on comfort, location and the fact that, by Stowe standards, it's as good a value for the dollar as you will find there. It has a nice open campus style layout, and is an easy walk to town. The room was reasonably spacious with a fireplace and comfortable beds. The breakfast was awesome!

When I lived in the New York area -- I stayed at the Golden Eagle when I would go to Stowe to play golf --the amenities and the grounds are maturing well and the ambience is even better than I remembered !

Excellent location and value. Very close to everything you would want to do.

Short walk to town; 5 mile path accross the street for walking. The rooms were a bit dated and, presumably due to off season, smelled stale but was clean and staff was very pleasant. Didn't use the facilities due to one night stay. Stowe was great to wander about and the hotel was easy to find. Many destinations within 20 mi radius. Good value off season ($88); don't know what the rates are in summer, fall or winter.
