Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe
2/5 Poor
"I’m struggling to understand what the $30/day “resort fee” actually covered. There were none of the amenities you’d expect—no valet, no room service, and no housekeeping during our stay. We also couldn’t connect to Prime Video or Netflix on the TV, which is pretty standard at most places we stay, so that was frustrating.
I called the front desk to request extra coffee (since there’s no room service), and it never showed up.
On top of that, there was ongoing renovation that wasn’t clearly communicated ahead of time, which definitely impacted the overall experience.
That said, on a positive note, the room itself was very updated, modern, and extremely clean.
Given the lack of services and the inconvenience, the resort fee feels completely unjustified. If it’s meant to cover something specific, it certainly wasn’t clear or noticeable during our stay. We WILL NOT be returning."
