The interior of the house was clean and comfortable. The exterior of the house was not appealing whatsoever. The first impression on our arrival was disappointing and troublesome. The landscaping seemed ignored. There were weeds growing up the side of the house. There was green mildew on the side of the house. While the house was pet friendly, the backyard was so unkempt that I did not take my dog back there. The water spigot for cleaning off after the beach was among the grown up weeds. While other houses around us received landscaping services during the week, there was none at this house—not even mowing. A family member was staying at another house in the neighborhood, and I was embarrassed when she drove by our house. The electrical outlets in the house need replacing. Some of the outlets were not working and most of our plugs fell out of the outlets. The entry door was difficult to lock and unlock. Someone from the rental office did drive out to help us with this on the first day. It continued to be difficult throughout the week. An updated lock would be helpful. While we enjoyed our stay, we will not return to this rental.

Wonderful stay at East Beach

Wonderful house, very spacious. Fenced in area for the pups was great. Easy walk to the beach! Owner was fast to respond to any concerns, went above and beyond. Will stay again.

Beautiful beachy home! Nice quiet 10 minute walk to the beach. Decorated so cute and had everything needed for 2 people and a dog. Really comfortable beds bedsWe had a really nice time and the place was so comfortable and laid back!

Thanksgiving

We stayed for Thanksgiving and we will definitely be returning this summer! The house is great. The backyard was wonderful for our dog. I can’t say enough about everything. It was perfect!

Loved St. Simon's Island!

Property worked well for us with 5 friends and a dog. Location was good but the walk to the beach was longer than expected for carrying beach gear. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. We had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay. Beds are comfy and all amenities were great. The only thing i would suggest is one bathroom at least be handicap friendly with a higher toilet for elderly and disabled people. Thanks

Great family get together

Beautiful place with easy beach access. The house was exactly as described and everything functioned well. Plenty to do in the area, the mosquitoes were pretty savage but a can of bug spray took care of that problem! Great communication with the owner made it an enjoyable easy process and contributed to a great weekend with kids and grandkids.

SSI summer 23

We enjoyed our time. House close to beach. Only 2 bathrooms and we expected 3 but we made it work. We did take our own beach towels and kitchen towels which was a real good idea. Water in one shower either scalding or icey-no in between! Shower in other bath very hard to turn on. Electrical outlets loose in the walls. Probably need plumbing and electrical work. We did not cook there and what dishes we did use, we washed. Plentiful tableware and well equipped kitchen beds comfortable and bath towels plentiful.

Best stay on SSI

Jack’s house was amazing! The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with a beach access around every corner. We caught ourselves saying multiple times, “when we come back, we have got to stay here again.” I promise you, you WILL NOT be disappointed with this house. Ben was the ultimate host. If there were more stars to give, I’d give them. His response was always fast and he went above and beyond to accommodate my family. You won’t find a better host, in my opinion. Ben will definitely be our go to host for future trips.

Already want to go back

Our family (4 adults + 2 young kids + 1 dog) had a wonderful week at Jack's Place and we've already said we would love to come back in coming years. The space was plentiful and the open floor plan was awesome, plus the back porch. The walk to the beach is lovely and easy, and it was so great to not have to drive and park somewhere else for beach access. The street and neighborhood felt very walkable for kids, dog, wagon, and stroller. We would advise bringing a few extra beach chairs (they have a couple on site) and equipment and bringing your own beach towels. Thanks for a relaxing and fun time away!

St. Simons is beautiful

Despite a cloudy, rainy week, we really enjoyed SSI. Beautiful and not overly commercialized. Nice house with good location. The trek to the beach was a lil longer than expected with rougher terrain but this is due to the houses not being built too close to the beach and that is wonderful once you get to the ocean. The house needs some basic kitchen staples, like salt and Pam. Bathroom tub needs a plug, in order to use as a tub instead of a shower. Back yard was wonderful for the dogs but needs some sod/grass/landscaping.

Property is a great location In proximity to beach access, shopping, and dining. Accommodations adequately described and sufficient. I would recommend changing out all mattress on beds as they are very uncomfortable. Also, adding a few blankets to the closet for lounging. I also recommend adding cereal bowls to kitchen supplies and a broom to the cleaning supplies.

Relaxation Plus

Property was neat and clean with open concept living dining and kitchen. What was really nice was the back porch where the kids could watch TV while the adults could visit and play games. Nice little fenced in area in the back for pets, if you have them. quiet neighborhood but only a few minutes drive to area attractions and restaurants. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Would stay again if we go to St. Simons for another family reunion.

A comfortable and convenient vacation home

There were 4 of us in the home for a week. We were very comfortable and the place was clean. The description and pictures were very accurate for the property. We didn’t identify any maintenance issues. If we had filled all 4 bedrooms with adults, the 2 bathrooms might have been an issue. The beach was amazingly close. The streets were great for walking and bike riding safely. We found dogs everywhere! It’s a very dog friendly place.

Great access to the beach!

I was so spoiled being this close to the beach. Such a treat to be able walk by the sand dunes each morning and evening and so relaxing! Can’t wait to come back.

Comfortable House close to the Beach

My family enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, separate room the grandbabies could hang out in, with just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Ha! Only complaint was the place needs a new broom.
