We stayed in one of the Presidential Suites, it is a huge room, quite dated but big. Two bedrooms-one king and one queen with 2 bathrooms, a living area, kitchen area with bar top area. Great view, room 300 looks straight out at the lighthouse and water. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, but overall a great location and would stay again.

Although it's somewhat dated and apparently for sale, it is a pleasant venue with excellent staff. The property is clean, the parking garage excellent and the pool is very clean and pleasant. A nice continental breakfast is served every morning.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night on our Golden Isles vacation. Considering what I paid for this room, I expected more. To the hotel’s credit, the room was clean. However, there was a strange odor in the room that we noticed during our entire stay. I asked my wife what she thought the odor was and her response was that it was the smell associated with an old musty hotel room. In addition, the furnishings in the room looked old and outdated. The Ocean Inn served us a continental breakfast of sorts which I also found to be lacking. The plastic wrapped baked goods were of the dollar store variety. For what they charge for these rooms, couldn’t they provide fresh baked goods? The only aspect that I found favorable with these accommodations is the location. It’s close to all the major points of interest. Other than that, I was disappointed with my stay here.

I’m writing on behalf of myself and 8 other adult family members. We booked two of their largest suites (rm200 and rm300) for three nights, Aug 16, 17 and 18th, this past weekend. We paid a total of $2700 total for what was advertised as a luxury hotel. It was far from luxurious. The only real positives were the location and adequate space in the suites. I will be as brief as possible. Although we met many nice people in SSI, this staff was very unprofessional both in dress, manners and handling of all processes and concerns, rooms were very outdated and in much need of renovations, linens, drapes, bedding thin and old, no extra blankets, mold in ac units, only a small trickle/stream of water in showers, unreliable cleaning, rain poured in around windows and doors without follow up or attention when desk was notified, pool locked despite given pool towels, complimentary breakfast was pitiful and should not even be classified as such, cable tv went out early sat and was still out upon our checkout Sun morn, gentleman at desk was not apologetic nor did any staff ever try to notify hotel guests of the issue or give any updates as to status of repair or courtesy credit, or anything to try to make the situation more tolerable. Overall, all 9 of us would not return or recommend anyone to stay here until these issues are addressed. For the money paid and for what was advertised, it was a huge disappointment and definitely not worth the price.

Good and disappointing. Very pretty island. Close enough to walk to many shops and food. Lighthouse view was beautiful. Nice pool. Clean room for the most part and comfy beds. Visited Jekyll island loved it. Room was not nice enough to be considered a suite. Just a regular room with 2 beds and a small deck. Was described very differently by website and front desk we talked to over the phone. Not technically ocean front . Not an actual swimming beach with no swimming allowed. Staff was not friendly except the housekeeper. Continental breakfast was disappointing. Had to pay for water. Packaged cheap muffins. Most places we went to while in town people were not friendly. Room was way overpriced for what we got. Paid the same for a much nicer suite in savannah with much friendlier staff and free real breakfast.

We were in town for our son's wedding. The location was perfect! Right across the street from the venue ( the Lighthouse). We had a perfect view of the Lighthouse! The rooms were all very large and spacious. We had one of the suites. It was perfect! Friends and family could come to our room to visit. We had a full kitchen! The staff were so pleasant! Very helpful! They all went above and beyond! We will definitely go back! The island is so quaint! Ocean Inn & suites added so much to make this the perfect weekend!!

We stay every year before heading to Jekyll island and are never disappointed. This time we were we’re given a complimentary upgrade to a suite and it was fantastic! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and you cannot find a better location for walking around downtown St. Simon. It’s become our go to place and an annual tradition

Last minute booking and got a fabulous rate on for the next night. Convenient location to all restaurants in he village. Rooms are huge. Looks like the property may be for sale so check on that. We were only there for one night but would definitely stay there again

Good things about this hotel: Mattress itself was pretty comfortable (see below for review of sheets). Great location. Free parking. Clean pool. Some things were clean, others were not. Bad things about this hotel: Pool hours are ridiculous- 10 AM-8 PM??? Breakfast is majorly lacking. No good place to put clothes. There was hair and shaving cream in the shower on the soap holder (not even on the floor of the shower). The shower seemed to have a cold water block, you had to turn it to almost completely cold and then it was still almost too hot to stand, if I tried to turn it anymore, the water would be off. Showers made a very loud squealing sound while on, this was not just our room we heard it throughout the hotel. There was a sign on the ice machine that said one bucket of ice per room (it's frozen water people!!). The maintenance man was rude when telling me the pool wasn't open yet. The sheets were very rough to sleep on, they were very old and had pilings on them making them very difficult to sleep on. The towels were also very old, had pilings and looked dingy and worn. Our stand up only balcony was over the employee break and smoking area, which is probably why it was so filthy you didn't want to go on it. There is a small fridge and older microwave in the room but no coffee machine. Wifi was slow or wouldn't connect. TV was very small. This hotel has a lot of potential but it seems like due to trying to be cheap and cut corners it is truly lacking in amenities.

Stayed there this past weekend for the night and was not too impressed. The WiFi was choppy kept connecting and disconnecting. But my major concern was that the toilet leaked when we flushed it and when I reported it to the front desk they acted like they really didn't care and said there was nothing they could do besides give me towels to keep it dry. I am glad we only stayed one night cause that is all we could of handled.
