Highly recommend Bertie's Nest

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed twice at Bertie's Nest and are about to return for another visit. The house is sparkling clean, well appointed and larger than depicted by the photograph--perfect for two to four people. It's located on a quiet street and only a short walk to the Village.

Loved Bertie’s Nest!

This was a fantastic house in a great location in SSI. I stayed here for 3 weeks and absolutely loved it. Definitely hoping I can return some day and would highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area!

Everything was nice

The house was very nice, nicely furnished, nice atmosphere. I think you should spray 2 or 3 days before the tenants arrive so there won't be dead roaches on the floor. We had a great time. Staying here was worth the price. Keep things the way they are as far as pricing and we may come back next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent two months at Bertie's Nest and really enjoyed the home. It is well-equipped including the kitchen and decorated nicely. Guests who visited us during our stay unanimously praised this rental home. The home has nice thoughtful touches for renters (we have rented many places over the years): towel racks on the back of bedroom doors, lots of hooks to hang things, two lazy boy type chairs for sitting and watching TV comfort, a charcoal grill with starter that had our coals ready to cook in 10 minutes, a built-in water filter in the kitchen, storage shelves in the laundry room and plenty of closet space.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: DO NOT DISPLAY OUR NAMESproperty needs to be updated. Deck needs comfortable clean furniture. Issues (no heat, fan and light for room) need to be addressed in a timely manner with follow-up to the renter. Our issue was never resolved and there was no follow through. We loved the location but not the fact that our friends rented from another company for less money and got a much better rental. Check out your competition. Loved St. Simons, climate and people are amazing.

Not the most comfortable

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We walked in to a kitchen with mouse poop all over the floor, the shower had black mold, dirty wash clothes left in the bedroom, construction debris in the back living room, and overall just a bit dusty. It was the weekend so I cleaned up as best I could and sent an email. I was contacted Monday and compensated one nights stay, but no one offered to come clean up or check back with us. The day before we were to leave we put all our clothes in the wash except our pajamas and the washer broke half way through the cycle. I called and someone came to look at it from the office. It was not something that could be repaired so she simply said she would notify the owner. I was left to try to hand wash and wring out all of our clothes. We had bought food to cook but the cookware is very old aluminum pots and pans which were so dented you had to stand at the stove and hold them the entire cooking time or they would start vibrating so hard it sounded like a truck rumbling through the neighborhood. SO we were unable to cook any of the food we bought and had to eat out most of the time. To top it all off the furniture is very uncomfortable. Overall I would give it a 2 out of 10.
