The property is an older motel that is well maintained and clean. It's not luxurious or fashionable, there's no bar or restaurant obviously, but it was clean, comfortable and convenient. It's a 5 or 10 minute walk to the great restaurants and bars in St. Helena, which is its strongest feature. It's also one of the more affordable, relative to its neighbors during high season. So it attracts bargain hunters. The person above us stomped back and forth in their room nonstop for hours. There were some partiers down the hall somewhere who laughed like banshees until 3 in the morning. We brought ear plugs and survived. The desk people are great, the continental breakfast is adequate, with good coffee. The grounds are immaculate, plenty of convenient parking. I doubt we'll return, but other than a few rude guests, it's a good place and affordable - relatively.
