I loved the place but a couple things stuck out, One is the gap between the bottom of doors connecting the room next door, you can hear your neighbors like they are in your room with you. Two is you can tell the bar is short staffed and struggling.

Worst experience ever! The bed sheets where dirty with spots, we tried to contact reception and never picked up the phone we had to go down to request a change of clothes and the when to the room and gave us a set so we can do it ourselves!!! Also, bathroom toilet super dirty like they haven’t cleaned it in weeks.They told us that they will take cate of us at checkout and never happened l, they told us that this will need to take care directly with Orbitz! So, orbitz what are you going to do ??

Not sure I would consider a full view of the parking lot and a very ‘distant’, angling view of the ocean (100+ yards) a ‘partial view room’. Toilets are dangerous low, especially for anyone one with a bad back. Some of which their website currently advertises (daily live music) not offered this time of year.

Our family decided to go to St. Augustine at the end of December and it turned out to be absolutely full of tourists. Hotel prices in downtown were quite expensive so we opted for St. Augustine Beach instead. The Guy Harvey Hotel’s staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel is well located on St. Augustine beach, minutes from St Augustine, which is where we wanted to be. We had two rooms and they were located near each other. The rooms were pretty basic, but clean. Both had parking lot views but for one night that was OK. Our rooms were located near the elevators & ice machines, so were a bit noisy, since the doors were thin. Comfortable beds. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious.

This was my family’s first time traveling to St. Augustine and we are very pleased with our choice of hotel. The hotel is well kept, clean, and the staff welcoming. There is an onsite restaurant which made it convenient. The food was delicious! We did have to switch rooms because our AC was not working but it was no biggy. We will definitely be coming back and staying here again!

My complaints are related to a Resort Hotel with costs of over $250/ night 1. Rooms with terrible smell of smoke, combined with strong anti-smoke refresher! 2. Air-conditioner had no shout-down function, and the controls of the AC did not work properly (the AC units are very old) 3. The toilet is a very old type – those appropriate for kids of 10-14 years old (very low) but not appropriate for older people and specially not appropriated for a Resort-Hotel 4. The bathroom fan could also be renewed 5. The staff, albeit nice, were understaffed - on December 25, we couldn't get breakfast - because it was overcrowded and the staff, doing their best, were sweating and trying to get some (few) breakfast served. We got none. At the reception, it took us over 15 min to get checked-in The positives: the location is exceptional; there were investments made, like new showers, new shower doors and shower space and toilet cabinetry

The orange wait bands really put this place on the map and the group of chimpanzees that kept us awake all night. Someone also laid popcorn out on the floor and my pet tarantula got sick.
