Traveling can be stressful but staying at the Comfort Inn in Lincoln, IL was perfect for our group. Stores were conveniently located nearby and the accommodations were perfect.

The people and property are nice, however, they have a serious ant problem. I stayed there for two nights and when I came back to my room the first morning tiny ants covered the desk. I went to the front desk and was given a bottle of Windex to use. “It kills them on contact” the housekeeper said. She was right and I proceeded to wipe up hundreds of them. They even got into my daily medication box which was a pain to clean. I was offered another room, but the front desk clerk said I may encounter more ants since they have been having this problem for a while. “We’ve been working with Orkin.” Well I’d say get a refund! It would have been nice if they had given me a discount on my room, but that required manager approval.

Room next to us with adjoining door was smoking and this is a non smoking property. Told the front desk and she didn’t speak to them, just confirmed she smelled it too. I said I wanted a different room. She obliged.

Our room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast eas very good for a continental breakfast. Hallways needed cleaning. We were looking foward to soaking in the hot tub only to find put it was cemented in
